For me its between Abs Man and FAM, but the final choice depends on the rest of your roster.
Chose who covers more roster "holes", both are great r5 choices 🙂

My last r5 was Doom but Abs is an excellent champ as well so won't mind another mystic r5 . FAM will be my 1st tech r5 is he goes up. Both are great for BGs so it's a tough decision.

Definitely FAM. Him and Abs Man are both dual threat and I have both ascended but FAM is an even bigger threat on defense than Abs Man. Offensively both have damage and utility though so if you're looking for offense only then that depends entirely on which one you enjoy more.

Depends if you need a tech or a mystic more, I have both at r5 but I ascended AbsMan, he is crazy good on att and defence

Great dual threat and I still slip up against him with a good counter. Abs is easier to fight now imo. Still painful without a counter, but we have like 90 good science champs for him now

FAM is incredibly good on defense with almost a guaranteed victory, while he is as incredible in offense handling tough defenders in less than 60 seconds, but in bgs you won't use him much on offense.
He is also one of the best onslaught counters so Ranking him up will really help you after a few months when opponents start to spam onslaught on defense.
Abs man is really good, but fam is better

Abs man and fantman are much better champs but now that 7* champs are the future and we are getting more and more R5 gems from content, I’d rather use my catalysts on 7* rank ups and save the 6* R5 for when I get gems

Abs man is really good, but fam is better

I agree FAM is the better defender but when it comes to attack abs man definitely takes the cake. Especially in BG, he takes so many of the tricky fights, Korg? Easy with Magma form, Attuma? URU form reduce damage back, Hulkling? Easy with abs. FAM is also great on attack but not as versatile as abs man.

Agreed, abs man is better attacker but I personally don't like champs who require a high skill level (with some exceptions).
For any player excluding msd and sweadeah, ease of use should be a criteria while rankin up.

Fair enough, yeah abs man requires quite abit of skill to use effectively in those tricky match ups. I tend to like high skill cap champs but not everyone has time to learn and master those champs.

FAM has a lot of versatility too. His ability to make the opponent hyper aggressive makes it super easy to light/medium intercept and kill pretty much anything.

Abs man at sig 200, most of the time you don't even need to do light attack intercepts. He'll get back to sp2 in time with regular 5 hit combos.

I agree FAM is a great attacker with some of the best power control and some nasty burst damage with his sp2. It’s just that Abs man handles so many of the tricky mainstream defenders that you’ll frequently face. I feel like he’s the more valuable attacker.

Plus Abs man is great for necropolis, I brought him in all 6 of my runs and he was an MVP

That’s funny because I thought Galan wasn’t a good counter to FAM. Tried him once against FAM and the harvest damage did next to nothing.
