Why are you against cosmic class huh?
Because we already had a cosmic summoner choice winner. Also white tiger sounded a lot more fun than gladiator when kabam gave us the basic idea of what their kits would entail.
So the next science summoners choice will be hated huh? Kabam gave us a sh*t champ gladiator, he could have been way better if the designer did a good job.

They messed him up and cosmic class should take the blame? If anything blame the designer. Any champion can be made interesting and powerful if good work is done on them. Did you know before hand that gladiator will be a disappointment, or did you know for sure that white tiger will be a better champ. The situation could have been reversed as well.

If Gladiator had White Tiger's kit (the buffs and power gain are very reminiscent of Cosmic champions), and White Tiger had Gladiator's kit (Confidence could be renamed to some type of mystical charge; punishing specials and combo stun are keeping in line with Tigra, Chavez, and Doom), would people still be hating on Gladiator for winning the vote?

People are just using the final outcome to retroactively litigate their arguments on who should win. It is dumb, just like people being mad at the voters who didn't vote for Kate Bishop (despite Necropolis not existing at all at the time of voting).

My thoughts is that they should bring back notable synergies
Gladiator: Charging a Heavy Attack while the Opponent’s back is against the wall grants a Fury Buff increasing Attack Rating by +50.5% for 2 seconds, paused during Gladiator’s Special Attacks. Max stacks: 3.
White Tiger: Power Steal has a 49.5% chance of not going on cooldown.

Is this the percentage of votes each champion got through the vote? If so, White Tiger lost by .5%?

Yes, that is the percentage of votes each champ got. Gladiator got 50.5%, White Tiger got 49.5%. Incredibly close, which is probably why the forums remain so bitter about it.

Kate bishop should’ve been voted even before Necro existed. She’s just as good everywhere else. She was new and people didn’t know much about her so they went with the safer option in Shang

We knew what basic ideas their kits would have beforehand, and I thought WT sounded more interesting from the start. People hate on him winning the vote because a lot of the discourse from people on the forums and YouTubers was “the next Herc.” No hate to the people who voted which character they liked the most though

It seems they're going to be fixing the core issues which is the ramp up and his base damage which sometimes is all you need.

Wow, never realized it was that close. I assumed Gladiator won by a large margin cause I could've sworn I saw way more posts about him than White Tiger. Glad we're finally getting the other choice tho
