What's wrong with the Grandmaster AI?

In phase 3 he's refusing to throw an sp1 then at 2 bars, he doesn't throw sp2. If you're not ignoring the wounded (Kate Team instead of Aegon) this makes it a slap in the face to get to 6 challenges. On top of that, the AI seems to be extremely aggressive easily backing you into a corner which is annoying in phase 2 if he doesn't say grandmaster says as you have to stall against a roided AI

Before anyone says "skill issue", I've fought him 4 times already. I'm just curious if anyone else noticed this. It seems to have happened after the most recent update

I ran kate team for completion, had to do use doom for phase one and two, phase 3 was the worst, no matter what I tried, revive after revive he would not come out of his corner and start doing sp1(which I totally suck at dexing). Managed to get him wounded 30%-25%, 25%-1% was just juggernaut smashing raw damage as I could not complete the missions... fyi, use the relic as it deals massive damage, mine is 5* juggernaut relic, dishing 125k+ per hit. Overall, I agree, aegon would have been soo cheap to do this bs ai grandmaster.

Wow. I'm pushing for TB and hearing this frightens me. I'll probably go practice fighting grandmaster so that I'll probably suck less. If it's hard for you it's going to be a nightmare for me. Haha

Use relic, relic can deal huge damage (2-3% of gm) health.
Also use the reverse control and play at 1% health. It is way easier.

The OP is talking about the Grandmaster in Necropolis. Act 6 GM and Necro GM are two very different fights. You probably won’t experience the same issues mentioned in this post.

@PistolcuApa This is exactly what i had to do for phase 3 was just chip it down with Juggernaut, it really is unfortunate when AI changes like this go announced. The first time I did necro i only used like 6 revives for GM but because of this bug (and since I didn’t realize the relic thing) i ended up using 20.

The part that sucks the most is we probably won’t get compensated because most people use Aegon and don’t have to worry about the issue

The OP is talking about the Necropolis GrandMaster, not the one in Act 6. Don't worry.

Yeah I always used Juggernaut as my main GM champ when I did my Kate runs. Only issue is because of the reasons I described above its just not possible to complete all 6 challenges in the phase 3. Before the only issue was if he says to do well timed block because of the low health, but that run i had to basically chip down 30% just with regular attacks

I will be doing my final run soon. To those that did not go into GM with Aegon recently, how was his AI? Was he throwing specials in phase 3 or holding on to them?

I want to know if this unintended bug being patched resolved the issue.

He was throwing specials just fine, make sure you push him to sp2 always and do as much damage as you can with 9 furies of Aegon.
