Ascension doesn't affect defenders health in bgs?

I recently r5 and ascended my thing. And he stands tall with around 67k health( with my current masteries, with my bg mastery he should have 8% more as i maxed out better health so around 72k health). With the bg health increase of +300% health ie x4 and my additional mastery it should be around 289k. With help of an ally mate I tested just to see that my thing has 237k health, which with a bit of math you can see that 289 is 22% more than 237 which is exactly the health increase that ascension gives.. Why would ascension not have an impact on health. Im sure a lot have people have made some bg focused ascensions and might not have knowing that it makes no difference.

Or they're just lying to us again...
>>> Was this also in Battlegrounds or a different game mode?
My Thing 5* will be ascended too
Do I need to be worried?
Almost 10 years of code written and overwritten by Heaven knows how many different devs and things like that can happen.

At times I think of the multitude of Buffs, Debuffs, abbility, nodes, and we can see on forums that sometimes this or that may be broke, ocurring flaws in game.
And if not flaws, only the specialists can determine what happened.
So, the game code must be updated with caution...or...rewritten.
I chatted with the game team, they explained that it is indeed a visual bug in displaying the values prior to a Battlegrounds match. It's something they're aware of and will continue to investigate the issue.
In summary, Ascension is working as intended, there is sometimes a display issue for health (and sometimes attack) when loading an Ascended champion into Battlegrounds.
Edit: Also confirmed that this should be resolved in February's build, if all things go according to plan.
