Confirmed - My Raid champ is locked out of War Attack.. this essentially kills the mode for me

There are some other adjustments needed to the new game mode, but this is a non-starter for me. War is one of my favorite game modes - one of the reasons I still play the game. As I mentioned in some other people's posts.. locking a champion for an entire week is a huge flaw to Raids design imo. This will effectively force me to choose between trying my best in Raids or trying my best in War. Raids loses..

In traditional AQ.. you at least have an opportunity to swap out a champ on your team every 24 hrs in between maps.. if you scout your war assignment and see one of them is needed. This is not possible in Raids.. as you are blindly committing to lock a champ for a full week (having no idea who you will face in war attack, in multiple wars during this period.

The net result of this design is that anyone who takes AW seriously, must not also take Raids seriously.. as to not only have to eliminate your favorite War Attackers as choices from the Raid pool you are given, you also have to eliminate any attacker you think you MIGHT need in War attack - just in case

I'm in agreement with OP - I'm valiant with a very good and diverse roster, but that doesn't mean I want my champs locked in one form of content for 7 days.

Why have this champ locked for a week? It's luck that AW season ended right around the start of this but next Raids won[t e as convenient.

To be honest, it isn’t like you’ve got hundreds of potential options to choose from for Raids. As currently built, the choices are pretty restrictive and they include some very useful champs for both Raids and AW.

I’d like to see the range of potential viable Raid attackers expanded much further than the range for this current Beta Raids mode.

I mean I know the selection can be quite specific but let’s get real here if you don’t have 5 good champs for war defense, 3 others for attack, and one spare for Raids maybe you should be focusing on other content to build your roster first?

Perhaps, but the game isn't such that we need to depend on one Champ for everything. There are many options.

No, but war isn't just 3 fights where you have one specific champ for each match up. You might require a very specific champ to counter multiple very specific matchups in a single war. If you bring a suboptimal champ in a dicey match up, it could cost you the fight or set you up to spend resources for the next fight. The fights aren't done in a vacuum.

Agree with this. If you look at the champs used for Raids below:

we aren’t talking about hundreds of champs. Some of them aren’t really useful for specific Raid fights (Doom, Kushala) and others probably aren’t ranked even in a developed roster. Still others are clearly best in class for Raids, and that may coincide with the particular AW lane you’re assigned.

Constructive feedback: if an alliance reaches Ultron with the direct damage buffs from either of the other two lanes still up, allow the alliance to quit out the Raid map at the end of the next AQ day and free their champs up. It’s fine if that means AQ is over for the week for those in Raids, because it’s pretty much over anyway against an Ultron that’s going to degen them to death in under 30 seconds.

Otherwise, you’re pretty much stuck. For days.

I would have really liked to be able to use my Domino in the sidequest this week, but she has been locked in raid the whole time, not the end of the world as I can wait till Monday afternoon to do it, but still slightly annoying.
