Son bought something on my account how do I correct it?

My son purchased a package on my phone and then opened a ton of crystal and bought potions galore. How do I get this undone and purchase canceled?

As numerous people have said above, I don't understand how this could have happened without OP's knowledge. The kid would have had to be able to unlock your device, and then input your password to make a purchase. I know for a fact that you can't purchase without a password or fingerprint ID input. This does not seem feasible, maybe OP can clarify.

It's fraud to ask the money back (and get it back) after already spending the items.

It's like if your kid goes to the store, buys a bunch of candy, eats most of it and you get all of the money back from the store, but don't return all the candy. That's fraud. You can't get the money back if the candy has been eaten, regardless of who bought it, who paid for it and who ate it.

Every credit card purchase is illegal if.made withoutnpermission on another's acct.. Apple won't fight that.. they really cant..

Yes, but the store is still out of the candy. Someone has to pay for that. Yes, not the parent because the kid stole the card and bought the candy. Yes, apple will give it back, however, the store wants money for the, now stolen candy.

We can speak of fraud, only it’s not the dad, it’s the kid that did something frauduleus. No matter how you look at it, there’s fraud in play here.

The issue is not solved, the money gets return to the owner, and rightfully so, but Kabam now has the right to say “this account is no longer allowed to play, since it’s stealing from us” they don’t care if the kid or parent stole, someone made a deal (deal being I pay this and get that) and didn’t keep up their end of it. They took the stuff and kept the money.

It’s not weird that the kid can use his fingerprint though. My boyfriend his finger works, so that he can unlock my ipad and use it too. He also plays the game so he knows how to do all the stuff the OP and/or his kid did. We don’t know how old his kid is, so we don’t know if it makes sense.

My kid is still to young to play on an ipad but once he is, his fingerprint will also be put in my ipad. I will change the settings so that I have to imput a password to buy anything before my kid actually plays with the ipad, but I can understand how some allow their kids in their ipad without properly protecting their money (unless it has happened before, then I don’t understand how it’s not better protected).

I am casting no aspersions here at all, but just noticed that the OP said MCOC is always logged in on his phone earlier in the thread. I believe there is an automatic log-out function on the game, set at approx 5 minutes max if left idle?

Plus Apple will Always ask for your password for a purchase if 15 minutes have elapsed since the last purchase. You cant change that setting for IAPs at all?

That you have to log in again doesn’t mean you’re logged out. You lose connection if you’re idle, true, but you don’t have to re-enter your email and password every time this happens. Only if you logged out manualy. He’s alway slogged in, so am I and you are probably too. It’s way way easier, but does mean everybody with access to your device can open and play the game.

You are giving bad info and are completely wrong. I know this for a fact. Op said he son spent real money and used items going to apple to get money back for items used is fraud buddy. I know someone who got a permanent ban for this. So tell this guy it is ok is very wrong.

That is correct, but in this case it was a child, the father didn't authorise this purchase. Therefore if he asks for a refund for it he is being honest in doing so, so surely not fraud?

Kabam may take the items back that were bought, but the account would be save imho

Going to kabam is one thing. Yes he won’t get banned for that but going to apple and getting the refund no matter the situation is a completely different thing and yes it can get him banned

Thats what I said mate, ask Kabam first.They are usually quite good im my experience, and understanding if your not a jerk with them

I did warn not to do anything to risk losing his whole account. Unless it was mega-bucks, I would leave it alone myself

You said that asking for a refund would maybe make Kabam take the items back but keep the account save, in your honest opinion. However, your opinion is wrong. If he asks for a refund, no matter the circumstance, Kabam might ban him, because of ToS violations.

Kabam actually has the right to ban him right now, because his child playing on it was already a violation on it's own.
