Content is great but kindly reduces the energy fee to 1 energy so i can test out which champs in my roster fits the fight better. Its expensive to test a fight for 10 energy when one sp2 can kill you or blocked hits.
I completed Winter of Woe soon after it was released & my solo event shows 0 points. Looks like the event was removed & replaced with a new one as I believe it previously only had paragon milestones & now it has valiant milestones too. I restarted the game, even killed abs man again & no change.

Necropolis was a great quest very fun but this is disappointing a pay to win quest that is completely impossible without using the exact correct champions I’m disappointed and wanted a fight that is challenging and takes skill but is actually possible to beat with any champion in the game
I saw there’s a warlock bug where he’s not building infections. That seems to be fixed but he is not draining abs man’s power when abs is heal blocked and has a regen. I also tried OG Vision and his power drain isn’t working either…
my biggest issue is that it punishes you so hard for a single mistake. got him down to 20% with she hulk and before i could even get to another sp2 on my next run he healed back up to like 50%. no way i can out damage that regen when his health is so low
The difficulty level is great but it's nonsense that this challenge is essentially 10 energy per attempt. Why make people dump energy on this with all the other content in game?

Play around it. I've just done the same perfectly fine with Sandman, and I've had to contend with the unstoppable too. Push him to just under 1 bar of power then play super passive when you push him over. You can punish 1 of each special with heavy to remove regen which should be plenty of wiggle room.

And if our highest rarity Sandman is a 5 star? You cant really speak on the difficulty of a fight if you've used he cheesiest option available. Sandman is still a recently released champ but seems to be the only practical option

If Sandman is the only option and he has to be 6* or 7*, then I have no hope. My highest is 5* with a option of ascension.
Please remove the 10 energy cost next round. It completely kills my enjoyment of learning and perfecting these fights and pushes me closer to quitting the game.
This energy cost is terrible and ruining the enjoyment of this content. You need to take it down to like 2 or 3 energy per node especially with not being able to double up on objectives.

Then I guess it's impossible 🙄. What does me using sandman have to do with anything anyway? She-Hulk has an easier time denying regen while she builds SP2 anyway

You can do it easily with 5* sandman and a few revives
So is this event going to be basically every champion you've released specifically as a defender in the past 2 years who mostly are designed to have some counters, slap on some crazy nodes and then put objectives in which counters for the champion aren't included or dont' exist?
Please take care of these 3 things If you want us not to get disappointed, atleast from next fight.
1 - If the difficulty is going to be similar, just reduce the energy cost already, We still have to try 100 times to get a solo, and energy cost is not needed. 2 - Please remove any type of regeneration based opponents. Fights like these, most players actually chip out health , we feel worse when opponent regen the small damage we did. 3 - Don't include a tag if only one or two champs are useful, Like you said sinister 6 champs for valiant, but only 2 out of 12 sinister 6 champs are actually useful. Lmao, Atleast make 6 out of 12 champs (half) usable. We deserve better kabam.
Everyone makes mistakes, This abs man is a mistake from your team, in every damn way. Take our suggestions and atleast try to not make the entire winter of woe a mistake, you still got time, don't let this event get spoiled for god's sake.
I really enjoy the fight itself, it's definitely difficult, but way better than Peni + Kree objective for example. There are lots of things to keep an eye on: the form timer, unstoppable timer, brute force, managing your damage type, etc. That's nothing new for this content, and I really like how it rewards good understanding of champion kits, and allows you to see noticeable improvement as you play it more and more. If this will be the average difficulty of WoW, it will be a step up from EoP, but not an enormous one. I'm very happy to have regular, difficult content coming to the game for the next year.
The rewards are also great, I love seeing 7* sigs coming from content first, instead of offers. It's also the first t4a we've gotten from content, which is nice to see. The addition of an unneeded bonus point allows for a bit of flexibility, and some interesting planning as to which objective you skip (though I will probably do them all anyway).
The Bad:
WOW the energy cost sucks. A full refill is only enough for 7 attempts, if you're waiting for it to recharge that's only a single attempt per hour. When I started practicing I had full energy, I burned through that and a full refill in half an hour. At this point, is it even economical to do well? It's not inconceivable that it will be cheaper to get 2 revives daily and brute force through every objective instead of practicing and grinding for a good run.
If I were to stay perfectly on top of my energy, I could get a maximum of 168 attempts per week, of course that assumes that I can do some attempts while at work, and never sleep more than 7 hours. So in that perfect world, I have an average of 56 attempts per objective. There will undoubtedly be many objectives that take more than that, so refills are going to be mandatory if I want to do these fights skillfully. We can't farm energy, so I'll need to be spending units. Am I really going to be forced into a situation where the cheap option is spamming revives? I have no problem with using items, I loved necropolis and I used hundreds of revives. With that content however, there's always the knowledge that I can reduce the cost with skill and practice. In WoW I know that I have the skills to one or two shot these fights within the one week time limit, I've kept records of every fight and only 4 times has an objective cost me more than 2 revives. The cheapest option has gone from spending time practicing and building your abilities, to throwing revives at the fights until they're down.
I dug up my thoughts on the original Summer of Pain:
I stand by that opinion, Summer/Eternity of Pain remains my favorite content ever for those reasons. With this iteration though, the practice aspect is completely gutted. I sincerely hope that the energy cost is at least reduced, ideally removed.
One of the things that I really enjoy about this type of content is seeing lots of content creators post videos of the fights using a variety of champs and showcasing solos and often times new and unique styles of play. I will never be able to play as well as most of them so it's always fun to see what it looks like when the best go at it.
Unfortunately, I think the current energy cost will dissuade many of them from investing the time and resources to produce this kind of content.
New End-Game Content Begins with the Winter of Woe
2024’s Seasonal, End-Game, high-difficulty, super tough, pull-your-hair-out, similar to Eternity of Pain, mucho-rawr-style content is set to begin on Wednesday February 7th with The Winter of Woe. Each step of the Winter of Woe will consist of ONE 1v1 quest, to be completed in a two week time-frame.
Each fight will be accompanied by two solo objectives for Paragon Summoners and an additional objective for Valiant Summoners. Earn Points towards Winter Of Woe Milestones by completing those objectives. You’ll want to complete as many as possible over the next two months to get the best rewards possible. Reward acquisition has also changed to a Milestone-style distribution, meaning you will not have to wait for your rewards!
Please see below for the full Winter of Woe schedule; future seasons of unhappiness will follow a similar structure.

Objectives
Here’s a sneak peek at the objectives for the first fight of the Winter of Woe. This should give you a chance to strategize and plan your rankups! We will not be posting the objectives sets for future fights.
To recap this dumpster fire of an event. You (Kabam): Increased difficulty significantly. Increased health pool significantly. Increased energy cost significantly. Reduced counters significantly. Reduced skill required because, let’s be honest, you have to be lucky enough the AI behaves correctly. Released content with a node that requires a certain level of aggressiveness from the AI knowing full well there’s a bug that makes AI hold specials and act passive.
It's 5 energy per tile bc now you just can't restart over and over and kabam will make money bc you'll now have to buy either energy refills or revives. Typical kabam trying to get into your wallets. And remember stay broke summoner's lol

It turns out that I don’t even have 5* Sandman… I will need another counter (unless I can do it with 4*. Haha). I’m Valiant with decent roster, but I just don’t have him above 4*. I suppose I could open many 5* crystals and hope for the best.
This content is so terrible. I don't mind but I lost 15 alliance members bc of frustration. Not only don't they have the rosters to do it but it's just terrible what did you guys think this up while taking a dump 😂. You should hire my 5 yr old she'd make you money and it would be fun for everyone. Stop being thirsty with trying to make a million off a penny it doesn't work like that

Really discourages testing and experimentation with diff champs.. Especially with tagged champ objectives
