I'm going to suggest two ways for the summoner's choice voting to matter that will be even less impactful for the game (which I believe is where the hate stemmed from) and I’m going to ask the community itself their own suggestions.
1. Give units to the people that voted for the winners. How I think this will work:
- 4 ballots for a single champ = 50 units - 8 ballots = 100 units - 12 ballots = 150 units
Any less and we won't get the units. We can't get 100 units for 5 ballots used, only 50.
2. Make the winner a great offensive and defensive counter to all the losers.
Anyway, what about you? What are your ideas?

Yeah, someone also suggested giving a profile pic instead. It really is a good idea.
The reward of voting in your favored combatant, is having them win. Anything additional adds complications, which this game oh so has plenty of already. Fun idea, but not ethical or necessary.

Summoner's Choice is just based on what benefits the game. I have no idea how I could get any of my favorite characters in. I'm old and I'm a huge comic book fan. I want to see the Mark Gruenwald era Diamondback or Demolition Man but that's not going to happen. I love this game but I have realistic expectations for for it.

This is a lot of work for Kabam, and players wouldn't necessarily see a benefit as the 'losers' might not come to the game ever.
Kabam would have to design the Winner, knowing what abilities all the losers would have. This also means that if Kabam has a better idea of what a Loser's ability could be then what they thought of at the time of the vote, they can't really change the Loser's ability since it has to interact with the Winner's kit.
Kabam could give the Winner a The Champion-like ability, where the Winner's abilities are more potent against specific champions. But that is kind of boring, and would likely mean that the Winner's overall design has to be neutered so that they aren't too powerful (the quote unquote, power budget design of a champion).
I can see a synergy happening (like the Gladiator and White Tiger synergy), but not something where the champion outright counters entire playkits.
But the losers won't be in the game for a long time, if ever.

But it might be flooded with the sea of other requests so I really don't see how something like this is effective. They add obscure characters though, so I imagine characters that has actual fans are more likely to get in, so hoping for the guys you mentioned.

Still not getting it. Any “loser” champs, even if they eventually get into game themselves, would be further down the road from the Winner one here. That would apply to Synergies too (to have a synergy, the other champ would have to actually be in the game).
