What happened to groot?

Hi everyone, just checking my champs and suddenly, as I check groot, a dark,mysterious cover envelopes him. Is this a visual bug? Or is this to do with Deathless KG. Thanks

You just havent unlocked him as a playable character yet

I have, he is in my roster. I haven’t levelled up or ranked up but he is there

It was a joke based on fighting games where the characters are shadowed out before you unlocked them. I'm not sure if more modern fighting games do that anymore though
