My group has theory crafted those solutions, but testing this season has shown the margin for error when fighting in those nodes without tactic becomes microscopic which is to say the counters are hardly counters
War tactics shouldn’t illicit that reaction. I’m all for more difficult, just not fun sucking/killing.
Idk what's going on with the direction of AW that the devs chose but it needs a clear change, we can't keep having this nightmare in aw every single month, it's not healthy for the game or the players
That’s fairly low level organisation imo, kind of an exaggeration to call it a crazy amount of work.
I look at a defender and think ok, I’ll bring toad for it and I’ll bring Odin so I can take the shock part of the node. Or ask a team mate and they bring it.
A lot of path splitters can easily be placed making planning hard.
making space for one horseman is fairly okay, Multiple is pushing it.
Also, lower level organization is much different from what you are accustomed to. I know where i'm at is organized, but there are plenty of places that do fixed lanes that are stuck with this tactic with no overall planning.
This tactic requires overall planning that many alliances just do not do. t1, and t2, sure. Any thing below, this is a massive ask.
If you don’t plan, yes, this would be a disaster. There’s no way I can see people successfully going at this tactic without a plan and succeeding.
Also, there is a 10th person for a reason. In alliances that just assign paths, it’s not that hard to have your 10th person assist with prefights or a problem fight or 2.
This has worked for years and we don't want to plan more. I'm not sure why Tier 1/2 problems are getting shoved down our throat.
Theres also the issue of counters, some fights have only 1-2 counters. For the sake of next season the tactic needs to be nerfed on top of more tactic attackers added to the pool. Otherwise we will have 5 tactic attackers banned as opposed to the 3 right now which will make the issue of having the right counter 20x worse.
For the future, tactic and nodes need to be tested. It really feels like it wasn’t tested and if it was it clearly wasn’t tested properly. Kabam needs to go back to the drawing board on how to analyze node combinations.

the issue isn't just that crush or magic thief need adjustments, it's that there's a deliberate plan to making all maps broken going forward, especially with the creation of the ELITE tier.
crush and magic thief represent Broken Alliance Wars and this new branding will never be compatible with players.
go back to making low death alliance wars. if it's stresses out the very few teams who go 150-2, let it. they're at the pinnacle of play and already stressed out anyway.
sabotaging the mode for 50k+ players and destabilizing thousands of alliances just to push a mode that only a handful of crazy players *might* like is not wise.
fun, inclusive, and sustainable alliance modes keep players invested in your game, this sudden change goes against all that.
Whoever is responsible for designing this did a terrible job.
You guys HAVE to do better than this. Clearly the huge number of comments and views on this thread must have sent alarm bells ringing to your game designers and your quality of testing.
