Today I just pulled a Yellowjacket and decided to finally test him out. It turns out he’s actually quite good. Massive energy resistance and decent physical resistance, can reduce the damage of Unblockable specials, a large heal reversal on the sp2, slow on heavy, power stings, and his meltdown mode which grants extra damage.
Nowadays, do we think he’s overrated or underrated or is he perfect the way he is
Personally I feel like he’s missing a taunt, like most power sting champs have access to taunt and Yellowjacket doesn’t have one

His power sting damage really isn't at all bad; he looks a bit less good on paper until you work out that his Nuclear Core charge increases the Potency of his Sting damage by 40-100%.
The same goes for his heal reduction:
he passively reduces healing by 40-100% at all times; and his 50% Petrify becomes actually a 70-100% Petrify, for a total of 110-200% Heal Reduction whilst it's up.
He would definitely benefit from a Taunt; and happily he can borrow one from an Ant Man relic of 4* or higher.
I agree that he probably ties with Ant-Man as the least good of the main Power Sting champions; but in this game, you play with the champions you've got, not the better champions you haven't got. Plus his tags as #Villain, #Crush2.0 and #Defiance will sometimes make him an option for opponents on nodes that the others will struggle with.
His main issue is that the Science class is absolutely rammed with great champions; and whilst I do think he's underrated, he's still going to be second choice behind a lot of other awesome champs.
Anyway, I decided to Level Up YJ to 6* 3/45; so I could look at his damage.
Sorry to say, it's pretty bad.
This is comparing him with a couple of other science champs, just punching through Winter Soldier as best they can.

However, Sandman is a Utility champion where everyone complains about his damage - that's a fair comparison, right?
Or there's a Trophy champ who's Titania's only real competition for next Science r4. Trophy champs suck, right?
Sigh. I still rate his utility, but I wonder if there's any chance Yellowjacket might get a minor numbers Tune-up any time?
