As you guys know, it’s been almost 10 years. Ppl actually has started complaining since the first year. Now the community has been complaining or asking for boycott every now and then, but they’re still playing and the game is still moving on. Have you ever thought the reason behind or the game life span? Why is the main reason that ppl don’t leave the game even if they’re pissed off sometimes?

    Champ collection, plus I have loved Marvel since I was a kid.
    Plus it's fun.
    Oh, and there's always something to do, it never gets stale.

    Also, I don't rant often, if at all.

    While I love Marvel, I've got to say it's the addicition.

    Sure I've been with my alliance peeps for a long while now, and there are some times where we end up in some big conversation outside of the game and can have a fairly interactive chat in LINE, I realize majority of these people are not my friends. I do not know them outside of the game (outside of one who I've actually talked on the phone with multiple times and he's done some 3D printing commission work for me). It's not the same thing as old military buddies I have who don't live close by anymore, but I can still shoot the stuff with and have a good ol' time.

    But the gambling aspect. Woo...that's where it gets me. I want to be at the very top of this game. One of the best BG players. One of the best alliances. One of the best rosters. Do I want it for the recognition? Nah, not really. I just want the rewards that come with it all. Whatever gives me that next dopamine high of opening up the champ that I want, or the next offers or content that will further my roster to beat more people. Because THAT gives me more things to open and the satisfaction along with it. It's a vicious cycle.

    My alliance mates, I've been with the majority of them since back when Ultrons Assault from back issues was in its original phase. Back when 4*s were super rare and everyone was rocking a 3* unstoppable colossus.

    I personally like fighting games, this one is pretty enjoyable, and I really like Marvel comics, and I personally enjoy games that require knowledge so I can give some use to the good memory I have, that would rather stay unused and maybe in decay since my job is pretty repetitive.

    But lately it feels just like "i have to do this in order to be able to enjoy the game"

    My answer is a mix of love for Marvel, and addiction that this game tried to create. It's no brainer game developers know how to hit your dopamine similar to apps like Instagram and Facebook. It has gotten easier to get people hooked to to certain things with a reward system. It's a psychological thing.

    I love the game. That’s why I complain. Because I know that the game can be so much better than it is at points, that it’s disappointing to me when it doesn’t live up to its potential.

    I am most hypercritical of the things I love the most. I’m sure there are other people who are the same way.
