Defender AI Breaking SP1 and SP2

Over the past couple days I experienced the AI countering my SP1 and SP2 AFTER 1, 2 or 3 or more hits. I have never seen this before. For example, I trigger Sunspot's SP2 against CMM and I land one or 2 hits and then all of a sudden CMM crushes me with a bunch of heavies.

Check me on this... this isn't right, correct?

So…I will add that in low level AQ, I just had Vulture dash into the pause between the first and second hits of Terrax Sp1. Perhaps there was some miss mechanic going on, but the first Sp1 hit appeared to connect.

Not sure this is supposed to be part of the physics of the game engine, but it looked very weird. It is possible the evasive maneuvers node contributed, but I’m not sure it should have.

I've noticed occasionally that the AI manages to block during my special - not often but it has happened if it's a multi-hit special with gaps. Of course I dont record all my fights so...
