Bahamet - Heal sponge path

The path is easy however Bahamet is a different story... I tried turning off willpower salve and recovery and Bahamet was still healing... is he healing because of the Adrenaline from the 6 stars? Is that working as intended? Plus I am aware that there is a bug where he heals above the phase threshold and unfortunately I faced that issue lol. So, should I just use 5 stars and 7 stars(without adrenaline star focus)? Because that's the only path that is holding me back from getting 100% in Act 8.2.

    You could use someone that reverses regen

    Nope, the stat focus just increases the % they can heal
    Without the stat focus they still have the same % as 6*

    I did the heal sponge path for the guilly challenge, she worked great for it, her heal reverse is pretty long to begin with, and the node makes it last even longer.

    Awakened Void makes the fight easy by reversing his healing.

    Guys Heal Sponge Bahamet is defeated I decided to just smash my way through with Hercules, Kingpin, G2099, warlock and Og Guilly

    Man, did that with Gully2099 yesterday for the Deathless piece on my alt. It was a huge pain especially since he would heal above maximum health per phase and caused me to have to redo phases of the fight once I died. This is almost certainly a bug.

    @Finalfuryk if I'm doing the Guilly99 challenge I'm avoiding the heal sponge all together and just go for alternative path

    Too late now. Lost a ton of revives on it, but it's done. My Deathless Gully is awakened and I never have to worry about heal sponge again for that fight. I need to explore the other paths of Act 8 on my alt to get valiant, but the fight is not that hard with Kingpin and his constant purifying.

    I used kingpin for first 3 phases but I died due to mistiming the evade on sp2. So, I went in with Hercules to finish him off.

    Just did it this morning. Can confirm that he's still bugged. He heals WAY above the phase threshold. I was deep in phase 3 and he healed to 70% (I wanted to see how much more he would heal, but I got ko'd).

    @1199345 I just used Hercules and smashed my way through even if he was healing so was I and I finished with almost full health.

    My alt account still have 5 paths left to explore 8.2.6 for 100% act 8. I guess I will save heal sponge path last. What I am reading, KP, Hercules, scorpion, void will work for the heal sponge.

    Anything specific I should look out for for heal sponge? Quit fight before healing get too crazy?

    While Masteries are still free, take off Willpower and you're good to go...

    Thanks. I’ve completely forgotten how to fight Bahamet. Need to check some video guides again.

    I played it normally with KP when I did it and didn’t notice any real difference.

    This was great advise. No willpower, didn’t have to worry about heal sponge regen anymore.
