You guys have somehow all been fooled into thinking Kabam care what we think. They don't. They only start to take notice when/if spending falls dramatically which it rarely does, despite even egregious errors/problems. There seems to be only a select number of Kabam employees who actually care about the community, and sadly for us, they aren't the ones who make the big decisions.
The compensation is too less. I prefer getting loyalty over potions cos I can use them whenever I want rather than potions expiring before war season begins but it's not even close to what people have lost during this entire season. Besides this compensation, kabam should also give 1 tier above rewards...just my suggestion.
Kabam, last season the placement bug cost us at SGA top 10. We lost the last 3 and fell from 7 to 14 and tied the last war and lost on diversity. Not one word on the forum was said. It 100% cost us top 10 and we didn’t get any acknowledgment whatsoever. Support was giving cookie cutter replies which , in some cases, were flat out inaccurate and wrong. Frustrating was an understatement.
Now this season… diversity points didn’t calculate properly for war 7. Def a problem. However , the solution you have come up with is another problem. War was played with full effort … teams tried and used items and time. For teams that won fair and square, without the extra points off (4 Loki had placed 7 Serpents ) and still would have lost with correct scoring. So we won, and we will now be punished and lose a Win and all resources spent (boosts,units,potions)
Additionally, we are again on the cusp of top 10 and this Kabam error causes distribution and may affect our rewards again.
How about you just adjust the points ?!?!? Make it fair? I don’t understand the logic here.
Point adjustment won’t do anything at this point because two wars have passed and the result of war 7 affected matches in war 8 (easier / harder based on loss / win) and that in turn affected matches in war 9.
It’s too late to undo now and it is honestly way too late to cancel war 7.
Just bump rewards up a tier, don’t cancel any wars at this point.
Alliances that are going to be robbed of a win they earned in war 7 are now possibly losing a higher tier of rewards (random punishment just because a win happened in war 7)
Some alliances have a war 7 loss cancelled where they legitimately lost (random bonus for them which wasn’t earned in any way)
Make it right without punishing higher tier alliances

If everyone stopped looking at their own little interest it would be the only wise thing to do. In fact, immediately after the seventh war those who had lost were complaining, today those who won are complaining... that's life. ... and then those who are on the podium complain as if they were the only ones playing MCOC ... when it comes to a small number of alliances. MCOC belongs to everyone, and above all there are complexities that individual players cannot (or do not they want) to understand.

Yep, there are plenty of reasons for them to cancel the season at the end of week-2, but they didn't. Now everything falls apart.

There really isnt any way to be constructive when a decision has been taken. There has been times where mistakes happen and even the tone of communication was different and there was some hope. This is not one of them. Just bite the bullet like we have done many times before, and play the game knowing that sometimes they just don't care or are not allowed to care. Things like this make the community not really care about the community anymore. This does not affect players individually., it affects alliances as a whole. The ammount of recruiting posts and looking for alliance that are going on in the forum and multiple discords is completely unusual for this time in the season. Things like this break alliances apart and makes enjoying every aspect of the game impossible. They have their distraction for the players comming soon. 8.4 is comming and all this will be forgotten.

If the idea is to keep top war spenders happy it won’t accomplish it with loyalty.
The point being made in comments above is that podium and master top 10/20 ranks are going to be artificially altered at season end in a way that wasn’t earned with this war cancellation.
Extra loyalty and 6k 7* shards is peanuts compared to what a change in placement bracket can do. It’s just poorly thought out not even considering the effort it takes to EARN your rank. @Midnightfox

This comment did not age well. What a poop show of a season. The worst I’ve ever seen… and I’m admittedly watching from a more relaxed position. I was t1/t2 for a while and the crush 2.0 feedback and response loop from the team was so tone deaf it made me drop AW as a priority game mode and dropped to a more relaxed alliance.
I hoped that a tactic change would get me interested and caring about AW again but holy **** did it do the opposite. Magic thief made me miss Crush 2.0 as a tactic. And neither of these tactics felt like a fun puzzle, they felt like traps with closing doors and minuscule windows. They were designed for pain. Magic thief being worse that Crush 2.0 as it’s not just the nodes either it’s the tactic champ selection combined with the AW map and the nodes. No way anybody tested the theory crafting here. It all feels like it might work on paper but not when accounting for X, Y, or Z which was obviously missed.
This has always been the highest stress game mode… it requires coordination, planning, and teamwork. This current direction also seems to make a masochistic personality trait a prerequisite as it’s not designed to be fun but painful. This direction sucks and is effectively killing the game mode. I’m sure the data proves it too. Even in T1 duplicate defenders became so bad a drastic rule change was made mid-season, something never before seen.
In addition to all this fun killing design there’s the utter mismanagement. “Fingers in the ears” in response to player feedback about the beta nodes… changes being implemented when the office is a ghost town… communication plans and change plans in misalignment and then when it’s clear the entire season has been fubar and should be canceled with past precedent being followed for compensation… the team decided to let it his asterisk of a season continue.
Just disappointing all around… and it feels like a concerted effort to kill what was once a favorite mode. Maybe things turn around but it will take a host of evidence to make me care about this mode again.

Bumping rewards up a tier would make sense , I agree there. And fair points about adjusting points now.

My alliance or me is currently at low rank in Silver 2. Trying to hang on in the bracket for three more Wars.

I don't play War alot and this is certainly not the first time Game developer cancelled War or reduced the number of Wars qualifying for Season rewards.
And the attack phase is now almost two full days.
So, why no decision was taken immediately once the diversity points issue was known?
There could be debate that War issues is to be managed case-by-case, but for this specific issue is there no standard protocol for call to action? Maybe inaction is action itself.
It could have been a small 🕳️ , but now it gets bigger and bigger.

Ignore this guy. He’s a forum hero who always does this under every post lol. Constructive does nothing. I screamed for over a month before they finally acknowledged the raids war defense placement bug. And they didn’t even issue an apology or anything. Last season we got bumped out of top 10 because of it and it got brushed under the rug like we expected it to be. They have absolutely BUTCHERED this season beyond no end. There’s no remedy but they picked the worst possible solution.

I get his frustration though. Being constructive hasn't worked. Being stern hasn't worked. Nothing has worked. I feel for Jax but communication has also been awful. "We're doing this, live with it" and not really explaining the thoughts/process/etc. This is the headache they have created and continue to mishandle it. Hopefully things change, but I completely understand everyone's frustations.
@PIKESTAIN yeah idk if they truly thought this was the best idea or if they just didn’t wanna deal with all the 87618 moving parts and problems with this season as a whole. They are definitely trying to be very very cautious with their next post. Trying to see if they can possible dig themselves out of the hole.

That's not at all what he said, read his posts properly. He never said the solution was to be nasty, @FunnyDude simply said that the community's constructive feedback hasn't been listened to and that Kabam have not addressed the situation well at all. So he made a joke as what's the point in giving Kabam ideas on how to address the situation better when they have clearly shown they aren't interested in listening to us. And I completely agree with him (and I suspect so does a vasty majority of the community).

There is no evidence of that at all and it's actually you who is derailing this thread and it comes off like you are implying that it's partially his fault for Kabam not responding to us due to his 'nasty comments'?. No reason to target me @BettaLucNxtTime i agree. My alliance will likely drop out of where we were in platinum due to this. I’m just as irritated as the rest at what their “compensation” is. Things like this are killing the morale of alliances and honestly as much as we all love marvel most of us old timers(I’ve been playing since launch day) stay playing because of the friends we have made within our alliances. If their goal is to kill the game they are on target.
