What is the 1 gold for in the WoW chests?

I first thought it was to also give more points for the objectives but didn't go up at all

There's a point in each box, it just doesn't show it in the rewards.

Gold is very important resource in MCOC, it's used to rank up heroes and sometimes buy things from event stores,
