Hey guys does anyone fighted the kindred boss on the side quest? You can't place much debuffs on him and he has inverted controls for the full fight, any good counters?
Not a fun fight at all. I wasted a few revives just to get that Kindred down. I'll probably skip on completing the side quest this month and concentrate on Act 8 instead.
Luke Cage does great! You gotta play into Delirium but it’s not too bad. Redoubled Determination keeps Kindred using their sp2 which is easier to punish and they don’t have their SP3 active so there’s no danger from that. Build to sp2 and use it while you have 5 Exhaustions active to inflict a 150% Concussion. This will shut down most things and even prevent their annoying near death root. Rinse repeat

Thanks a lot cat I'm gonna try it, I was getting close whit torch but couldn't finish the fight
Rich the Man has a walkthrough with some recs in his video at https://youtu.be/_sKcMV8p2og?si=nrUORuxnoKFG_32t&t=683. He uses OG Hulk, but also recs Torch, Spider-Ham, Suggs, Immortal Hulk, Warlock and some others. I'm going to give it a go later today.
It's weird tho, he didn't add the info to his spreadsheet yet.
That kindred sucks, my 6r2 og hulk can only reach 60%, i refuse to use revives, and getting used to delirium is kinda hard for me right now. Skill issue for me i guess?
Who ever designed this fight with Kindered, I don't know what they are thinking. Difficulty of the fight must be proportional to the rewards given. This fight feels more like an endgame boss fight rather than a monthly side quest fight. This is just out of control and made me very sad for playing it.
After unsuccessfully trying about half of my roster, I finally resorted to the slightly agricultural approach of parry/heavying him with Kingpin while throwing the occasional Sp1 and that worked!
Juggernaut.. granted mine is 7* r3 awakened (not a brag just stating). I tried 6* ascended r4 HT first and it took 3 revives, I wasn’t happy. Got an easy solo with Juggs tho - I would say maxed 5* would do it fairly easy.

I have no clue what you mean by "agricultural approach" but it sounds fun.
Just starting to look at it. Anyone try Jessica Jones?
Dr. Zola
She's very, very bad for it.
Jessica inflicts debuffs every time the opponent throws a special, which combines badly with the Redoubled Determination node. At 10 Investigation, she's actually giving Kindred +650% Attack any time he throws a Special...🥺
Throwing both Root and Reversed Controls on a piece of pure nastiness like Kindred?
There's not a tiny margin for error, against one of the nastiest ultra-defenders Kabam has introduced in the last year.
All this for a few shards, and a 6* Awakening Gem to add to my collection?
I think I might just run through Threat Level 1 for the Mysterium, and call it a day.
For anyone who wants a suggestion, I've got him down to 5% a couple of times with Ultron (6r4Asc), who I think is probably the best possible option for the fight; as he inflicts some but not too many bleeds, and can keep pushing Kindred to SP2.
But seriously, I finished 100%ing 8.3.6 last night, and took Cerastes down twice in the same amount of time that tonight, I've failed to beat Kindred even once on Threat level 5.

Now I will go to Lvl5 to get Dust lvl 2
Some says Dragon Man and Ebony Maw are great counters
I desperately hope they nerf this fight once people divert their attention from 8.4 and the outrage starts to build

Good news is you can restart without penalty if you screw up. Good luck

This is ridiculous.
