Why is Onslaught a 7* and Kitty isn't?

As per title question, he's obviously a better champion than her, meanwhile she is getting the Quake treatment in terms of coming out as a 7*.
What's the logic behind it?

because Onslaught was a brand new champion after 7*s were introduced

there is no reason why he shouldn't be a 7* if every other new champion gets a 7*

He's good but not that broken like Kitty lol. Ppl always seem to hype big bad daddy type of characters like back in the day ppl called Apocalypse the best mutant even when Kitty had been in the games for 5 or 6 months.

It's possible that she's getting the Quake treatment, but there are tons of awesome champions that have yet to come out as 7*s and I suspect most of them will come out eventually.

As for Kitty, she's...interesting. She might be one of the champions that will never see the light of day as a 7*, but at the same time, I don't hear Kabam talking about her with the same constant regret as they talk about Hercules.

And yeah, the reason Onslaught is a 7* is that he's a new champion and all new champions are 7*s. That's just how the game works.

I personally think kitty is balanced as yeah she has phase and takes 0 but shes no where near broken since u gotta get the spacing to phase she also has lower health but yeah they dont talk about her like actual broken champs that they regret not rebalancing due to it was out at that time

He’s not better than her, that’s very subjective. You’re just overrating him and underrating her.

Kitty is better than onslaught but onslaught has more uses. Kitty would be the last mutant to enter 7* pool.

The playerbase just riding him the same way they did Omega sentinel, apocalypse, Iron doom and so much more when they were initially released they're good but not close to being as good as the playerbase tried to convince us they were and eventually they fell off
Eventually the hype will die give it time

Completely different cases here. Apoc still hasn’t fallen off, he’s just not build for battlegrounds. Onslaught is already on every deck in battlegrounds. He’s a counter to bullseye which makes him super relevant and he nukes battlegrounds fights. Triple immunities that make him heal + non contact attacks + great damage for both long and short form content + a counter to annoying skill champs

MVP for Hazard Shift and Necro and an annoying defender on top of that. I think Kitty is broken but I have a 7* Onslaught and he crushes everything. This whole overrated thing people try and push for any popular champ is weird
