Don't get me wrong they're not bad champs by any means and I like bishop a lot, it's just..
Unawakened overseer wasn't the one I had in mind. 😅
Well atleast I get the extra valiant perks now

I rank2 undupe Bishop.. and guess what.. I finally awaken him from a paragon crystal

Back in the day, I remember ranking up an undupped 6* sentinel for whatever title I needed to progress though at the time. It was worth it in the long run. At some point, you just keep ranking up your "good" champs and you move on. They aren't bad rankups at all.

Mine were an awakened Gamora when I finished Necro, and an unduped Killmonger when I finished 8.4. Yea yea Killmonger wants that dupe, but he still destroys on defense! Also, when I inevitably dupe him, I won’t have to sink any resources into him. He’ll already be r3!

Same goes for your Overseer! And even without the retaliation damage he can still destroy BG fights in sub :45.

In my opinion, the standard for progression-unlocking rank ups is: useful or not useful. Those are both useful, and get you to Valiant, so that's a win.

I got super lucky both times.
Did 1 run of Necro, got tech 2-3 and pulled Shuri from tech crystal
100% act 8, got mutant 2-3 and pulled Onslaught from Titan

I took overseer to r3, his sig while nice only comes into play in longer fights.
Unfortunately he hits too hard and doesn’t let fights go that long.
