Battlegrounds same points in the leaderboard

Hello everyone,

so recently I’ve heard two sides and wanted to know which one now is correct, maybe kabam can clarify this, but we can also discuss what should be correct:

Apparently, when two or more players have the exact same score, and it ends up being at the bottom of a rank, for example:

Place 190-202 have the same amount of points (400 to be exact), where Celestial 6 is until 200th and Mysterium 1 starts at 20, but no matter where, it shows celestial 6 for all of them (in the dashboard where u also see ur reward level), even the player at 201 and 202. But in the leaderboard it shows 201 and 202 are on Mysterium 1.

How does this work exactly and what rewards are to be excepted? Will they all get c6 rewards or will only the first 10 peoole with 400 points get it and will the last 2 get screwed?

Some people said that everyone will get the same rewards as long as someone with 400 points will be in the c6 rank.

Other people said, only the first 10 who reached it will get it.

But that means it’s not showed correctly, because I was one of the first to be with 400 points in C6 and didn’t play anymore afterwards but when I checked 1 min before the end of BGs, I saw around 12 people in total there, but me being on the last spot and dropped to M1 in the leaderboard. But at the same time, it’s showing me still C6 as my actual rank and reward level on the dashboard.

So who is the one to believe ? Can kabam please clarify this please?

Assuming there also might be an error in this system because as I mentioned, It showed me M1 in the leaderboard but C6 in the rewards, but as I was one of the first being at 400 points tho I should technically be on the first 5 places, not on the last 2.

    I forgot to add these pictures, but the correct people with 400 points were 93-102. so 9 in total. And I was surely at the first 4-5 people there while it was still around #160 in total. Nobody would’ve excepted that 40+ people would climb within the last 3 hours before it ends.

    But, did you take a screenshot of next rank down from C-6 ??
    Wondering what the top of that rank screen looked like.

    As for your placement in the list, wonder if SOMEONE ELSE would have looked at the list, would your position have still showed (to them) as the last spot in the 400 point group ? Or higher up among those Tied people ?
    (like maybe it always shows yourself in the last spot of a range, because then there is always that extra line also to show your points at the bottom of screen) ?

    Lastly, while yes, people have said it goes by “who got to that score first”, I wonder if ALL of the tied people would get the higher rewards, because they are all being shown in the RANK CATEGORY SCREEN. (depending on what if you had shown the next page)
    *and that the ICON shown next to it is maybe just going by the “number” position, and not looking at whether there were a group of ppl at same points. (so most likely the ICON is the wrong thing).

    I didn’t do a screenshot but you can also see in the pictures that my current rank wears still shown as C6.


    And yes others checked as well and they saw me still in celestial 6.

    Last but not least:
    I got screwed. I received M1 rewards. This is straight **** and unfair. Why are 7 other people getting C6 rewards when having the exact same points as me but I receive the worse rewards? On top of all I was one of the first to reach that cutoff of 400 points. When I reached it it was still top60 with 4-5 hours left. 4-5 hours later I get demoted to M1 when others with the same points who just arrived there get the higher rank. Straight ****, this screwed me over really badly, I’m missing my correct rewards.

    Couple follow ups..

    I know you said at beginning that once you reached 400, you stopped there.
    And that there were maybe only a few people ALSO at 400 pts at that time.

    (1) Did you mean that you were one of the earliest to reach 400 (OR ABOVE), so very early on among people achieving that high ?
    Or just at that exact 400 point number there were only a few (but MANY already well past that point) ?

    (2) *and don’t know the answer to this, but.. Could it be that enough other people which had ALREADY been above 400, had lost/dropped back down to that 400 number, after the point you saw you were among the higher of the 400 people.
    So, maybe even though you were at EXACTLY 400 earlier that when some other people ended up landing there, maybe those who were previously already above it and dropped back down to 400 still have that “tiebreaker” higher than you because they had reached 400 or above earlier than you (you just didn’t see them at 400 at first, because they were above that at the point you reached 400) ??

    (3) or similarly (with a twist), what if people that came along to the “400 or above” club AFTER you, and continued on above 400, and then later did that DROP back down to 400.
    Even though you had beaten them to the race to 400, maybe the game gives them the tiebreaker because it uses your “HIGHEST POINTS along the way” in determining who places where among people who ENDED with same points ???

    Don’t know if anyone knows for sure, but maybe @DNA3000 or @Pikolu has thoughts. (or

    I meant to say that when I reached 400 points, there were only 3-4 people there maximum. Maybe less. I was at place 160 so I didn’t push anymore cuz usually in 4-5 hours there aren’t 40 places pushed into c6.

    Your (3) theory wouldn’t make sense because I was a lot higher that season. I was couple times at c5 and I remember I dropped to 422 once and could’ve stopped but it didn’t look like it was safe for c5 so I kept playing but dropped and climbed a couple times until I decided to keep 400 points cuz it looked super safe for c6… otherwise I would’ve continued cuz there was still 5 hours left…

    Also considering that between c5 last spot and c6 last spot, this season, there were only 22 points difference …it’s crazy

    But I think there shouldn’t be someone get better rewards who were the latest to join in a score tie , while someone else (like me) been there earlier but gets by the rng of the system dropped in the tier (rank)
