Just got parried by Sasquatch in battlegrounds during the last hit of my 5 hit combo using Human Torch.
Had a similar issue in Incursions where I was mid combo and was suddenly being blocked, so it makes sense that in bg if the same thing happened you'd get parried.
Just encountered the issue in EOP quest against havok. While herc had his indestructible active, havok held back his sp3. As soon as the buff expired, bro went Pew Pew mode😭

When the defender is under rage or mockery debuff? The defender simply walk or not fire specials
I think kabam is trying to improve that Ai behaviour but it's in the mid stage where it's broken .some way it's behaving weird than before 😵💫😵💫 that's frustrating.
Not really the AI's fault here but I'd like to point out how kabam has started giving defenders little to no recovery times in their heavy/special attacks. We've seen onslaught who you cannot even dash into without getting clipped. SHOCKER has no recovery time on his special 1. Bullseye has very little room for recovery in his heavy and specials. And just RECENTLY fought the leader and noticed the same thing. Ate 2 specials to the face while trying to heavy punish him with cheeilth TWICE IN A ROW because he doesn't have any recovery time. This is crazy, why has kabam chose to make it harder than it already is to face these champions. You can barely heavy punish these new champs because immediately they throw their heavy attacks they're already out of the animation and can move freely. Eg dust. Past champs always barely ever had these problems. Look at doctor doom and nimrod(sp1 and heavy) for example both are pretty safe to rush in after special attacks. Best believe if these champs were released today you will 100% be eating a light combo to the face after every special attack if you tried to dash in. These champions are already hard stop making them more complicated
Shocker’s animations and recovery is off the roof. Even his regular combo. I know for a fact his first Light attack has an insane reach such that it doesn’t even make contact but you get hit. In auntmai it’s considered contact and physical. I made a post about this, it’s just weird.
I came back on forums because of the ridiculous things happening to me during fights. I already commented once. Glad to see its not just me. I cant even take this game serious. Constantly trying to adapt to faster an an faster defender movements every month has just made me lose interest. Dont risk attacking when they have power or throw a heavy, dont throw full combos in corner or fire specials, intercepts an shallow evades and dont hit into block. I keep adding champs to the list to that i cant punish after a heavy or special. Basically never let block down a move forward the defender will instantly throw a heavy an jump frames an hit you. NOW i cant even block!! Defenders just hit right through it. Or thats how it seems. Fighting ANY champ that is unblockable is ridiculous now!!! After you attack them , you cant block or parry an it only leaves one option an thats back off!! But cant do that now! Instantly get blasted with a special or they hit you or hawk you down mid dash. Kabam needs to fix this problem!!
The ai doesn’t seem to respond your (champions) actions at all. They skipped that step. The Ai seems to respond directly to your input which is as close as a game company can get to cheating IMO. You throw special they throw instead. Sometimes you stand there twitching (repeatedly blocking) until the Ai can through there’s instead. The best bs move is the strikers that your forced to use (because of nodes) getting parried. At least you used to be able to block knowing the Ai would try to punish you. NOW your champion lunges forward into the Ai attack. The game is wrecked or rigged! Either way they refuse to care and everytime you lose a fight and revive they’re getting rewarded for their own broken (or rigged) mechanics. Especially on super tuned content.
Why should they care. All of these complaints are without action because people keep spending to revive and heal to overcome horrible flaws in the game
All i know is the frame rate / lag/ freeze/ skip scenario is happening quite often. Just did it in a multitude of arena rounds,..and it happened almost every fight.
Champs with mechanics that require you to hit into defenders block, hulkling, valk, masacre etc are basically horrible to use in war at this point. Guaranteed the defender will parry you when you’re hitting their block at some point during the fight.
Werewolf has too long of a break between his dash attacks and light to use a light into block ever. Gorr isn’t great either since it’s beneficial to punish a passive defender by stacking debuffs on them
its been like this for months if they wanted to fix it they would have already, since as they say "kabam does play their own game" naturally they experience the same things we do, after SOS onslaught's crazy god AI we got no word and they did nothing so I dont expect anything lol and it makes BGs even more frustrating

This is what I seriously concern as well. We don’t know what are they doing behind the scene.
An issue I’ve been facing is that the opponents are able to block my specials when I throw them right after a combo ender, no pause or anything. It also happened to lagacy on stream yesterday with kushala against dust (whose recovery time after throwing a heavy is also crazy fast). This shouldn’t even be a possibility in the first place since it’s removing the one guaranteed way of making specials land.
I've decided after today's attempts at several matches that I'm going to pause playing BG's for the time being. The rest of my alliance has also mostly stopped. The AI issues as discussed in this thread and others are awful, especially the opponent dex into hit/special and multiple dex in a row preventing intercept or contact. It's just not fun anymore (I use an iPhone 14 pro). I've been willing to continue trying to progress each season though the fun factor for me is just gone and I'd prefer not to waste elder's marks - having my characters dance around the screen after opponents that just constantly dex or evade while trying to intercept doesn't make for a positive gaming experience. I'll likely go back to Story Content where the AI is noticeably different.
I feel like I have to record every fight just to capture the strange stuff that happens. It's hard to play the game when you can't trust the gameplay. We'll always seen the AI be able to move farther than it normally does on specials, but there's so much more going on. On top of that, my autoplay will randomly turn on during SP3s, and my blocks are either being ignored or the game is dropping my block.
I don't have gameplay recorded from previous years to prove this but it seems as if the time it takes for us to raise our blocks, both standing still and when dashing back, has increased allowing the AI to smack us that much easier.
To have fun in any game, you have to trust that there's a level playing field, even when one side is an AI. For the past year, the AI has had all the advantages, from light intercepts, to immediate attacks when they go unblockable, to specials firing when I've hit the special attack button, to heavy block/armor penetration, to firing off back-to-back-to-back specials before the first special has even finished. All we've really gotten is statements that nothing has changed with the AI. Well it's time to call shenanigans and for Kabam to address the issue with something more than "we'll look into it."

Always happy to see an ai post. Kabam needs to understand a lot of us play this game extensively and it’s super easy to see differences in the ai when you have played for 6 months to 6 years. You can play ROL the easiest content and just watch. All of the fights have an example of the new ai behavior. Juggernaut will slowly walk up to you and wait to throw a light or hit into block so he can’t be parried. Storm will light intercept you and special intercept you.
That is really old content that everyone has played so many times. The content hasn’t changed, most players get better as they play more…. THE AI HAS CHANGED. It’s so obvious at this point that it’s frustrating to even come on here and talk about it. For all the cool things Kabam has done this problem ruins a lot of it. It’s hard to be excited about new content when you know the ai is just going to do impossible things, or completely new behavior that make the game simply not fun.
And it’s gone on so long and has been addressed by Kabam employees here a few times. Same answer but worse results. It’s getting worse. My question on all of these AI posts remains the same. If Kabam isn’t changing the AI then WTH is causing this obvious change in the skill of the AI? Still genuinely curious because my take is that the AI was changed. Prove me wrong.
Releasing leader just made me laugh. Hey another ramp up champ who needs to intercept. I seen the videos of streamers and how great they make it seem. Me using leader. Light intercepted and special intercepted or the ai stands there waits for me to throw a light then punishes me. It’s those moments that just make me wonder what’s the point? lol
