Who takes more matchups in BGs and who's generally faster?

Also, if not Silk , is she at least the top in Science over Hulk and Pig?

Sunspot. One sp1 and sp2 then game over. Especialy when awakend and put highsig then dont have to care how to control sp.

My r2 Silk kills almost anything in one sp2, and she can take Onslaught so that's a pretty big plus, neither of them can take Photon or Serpent though so it's hard to tell. Speed wise they're about the same, maybe Sunspot slightly faster because of how fast he gains power but it's not a noticeable difference. I have both and if you play Silk extremely aggressive going for corner intercepts even while they have a bar or two of power (doesn't matter if they throw it cause the evade does the rest) you can get pretty quickly to 1.5 bars and after that the fight is just over within the next 5-10 seconds.

So, I'm gonna say Silk purely because I can play like a moron thanks to the special evade safety net and finish with 100% 💀
Edit: also crit resistance can mess with Sunspot's sp2 damage, Silk's sp2 will hit hard regardless of crit resistance cause of the fat sunder.

Serpent she straight up can't do you will timeout, dread shuts down all burst damage no exceptions. Most of her damage comes from bursts lol have you ever actually tried it? Cause I sure have and it did not go well 😂

We when I use silk against photon, I never go for heavy chain. It works pretty well for me.

And I tried her against serpent in war and got a solo. Like I said She can work against serpent but maybe she's slow for bgs I agree.

Still both great champs, but I find I get more uses out of Silk. At least of late.

Sunspot can do serpent well if you learn the fight. I’d say he’s one of the best counters outside the mystic class

I love silk but sunspot is great for maestro and bullseye too and he can do serpent decently so I’d say that he has more reach than silk does. Silk is fantastic too though and she can do matchups like onslaught and photon better

That's essentially the reasoning. I'll usually have another draft option which would suffice in place of Sunspot.

If you're talking about war scenarios for both that's kinda irrelevant cause again there are a lot of other advantages you can get in war that alter the outcome completely. Boosts, synergies, time and health don't matter etc.

Sunspot can do serpent well if you learn the fight. I’d say he’s one of the best counters outside the mystic class

I've never seen anyone use Sunspot for Serpent and I can't see that possibly working too well because of dread reducing crit penetration. Serpent has a decent amount of armor at base, crits ignore 80% of armor but dread reduces crit penetration by 60% so unless it's a r3 Sunspot and you went for two sp1s I don't see him doing Serpent that well, and on top of that he can't deal with the regen after he triggers death immunity either.

As for Bullseye and Maestro, the rotations are really tight so I wouldn't say great, he's an option for sure but it's not easy to pull off.

Ah that’s fair I didn’t consider that but I could swear I’ve seen a great sunspot vs serpent takedown before.

I think I might actually be playing silk wrong because I’m not getting the times other people are. Can someone tell me what’s ideal for her? I’ve seen some great stuff with her (and gotten good results out of her) but I’ve been going sp3 rotation with my r2 and that usually does the job but it’s obviously slower. The sp2 rotation never seems to kill everything for me

Actually did some testing and it seems like she’s doing way more damage with the hulk relic than the spidey 2099 one so that was probably it

Are you doing heavy relic heavy sp2? That's the ideal rotation, also stay as aggressive as possible and go for corner intercepts even if they have a special ready. Once you get to 1.5 bars they're dead unless it's a r3 Mangog or Sassy, in those fights you will usually need a sp1 after the sp2 to close it out unless your Silk is r3 too.

I love my Sunspot but Silk is more idiot proof with her evade and between me occasionally playing like an idiot and the AI frequently being an idiot I find her more reliable.

Also, @Emilia90 absolutely you want the Hulk Relic and you want to use the relic to cancel out of your first five hit heavy combo then another five hit heavy combo cancel into an SP2. She will get Fury twice with that technique and then her SP2 will pretty much wreck things.

I have been starting the heavy into relic into heavy into sp2 with a parry though, i bet if i did a back draft intercept in the corner to build more of her debuffs than the crit or not wouldnt matter.
