This post is about how mods are responding to criticism and threatening me. Nothing else. If you guys have something better to do. Please do

Maybe not banned, but either this thread is going to be locked come Monday morning, or deleted. Whichever way you’re likely to at least draw a warning.

I was thinking perhaps I should save this thread for posterity, but I’m not sure if I have enough disk space.

Sorry, Bub. I am not in the mood for jokes. I am quite feeling sad with the situation. I did nothing wrong but gave feedback and criticism and the mods in discord are threatening me for that

Just so you know, you can't sue them for banning you from their discord. It has nothing to do with the spending on their game. Its their equivalent of blocking your twitter account.
The discussion was about banning players from game accidentally. That's something can be reported as fraud in my country if there is no claim/ proof. I was stating that in a post created by someone who got banned.

Can't say that's personal but kabam will know that basd on my game play and payment. In most countries if you don't get services for what you paid for you can sue the corporate and if there is any fraudulent behaviour you suspect the app itself may be black listed until proved otherwise. Fraudulent behaviour can just be a feeling of yours to do the reporting and police will verify the claim how far it is true.
There’s only one country that has ever ruled in favor of a player claiming to have been defrauded by an online game company for failing to provide services in the context of being banned that very heard of, and that’s China, and there were very particular circumstances there.

There is no charge for accessing the game, so you can’t claim damages if you’re banned. Nor can you claim Kabam is depriving you of access to your account, because the game’s TOS requires you to agree the materials in your game account have no value. If you claim you didn’t agree to the ToS or claim it is invalid, then you have no right to play the game and the company can claim you defrauded it, when you illegally accessed the game without permission.

On the other hand, most countries do have laws against the kind of fraud where you claim you’re entitled to a refund for services when you’re just a disgruntled customer. Credit card companies rarely prosecute that kind of fraud, but it does happen.

I’ve probably helped more players get errant bans reversed than any other single player. You are not talking about bans, accidental or otherwise. You are conducting a training class on how to spot a gaming Karen on amphetamines by example.

And no matter how much you keep saying “in my country laws are different” no one cares. That’s about as interesting as me saying in my backyard, trees are taller. But you did mention the GDPR, which is a European Union regulation. And nowhere in the European Union do I believe you have a leg to stand on. Unless the EU annexed Shadowloo recently and M. Bison has it out for Canadian game companies.
You dont have to care. This post is not about that either. This is about mods behaviour in discord and I have a reported a support ticket as well.

1. I am a Discord moderator.

2,. As such, I have access to all the active threads on Discord, and in particular I can read the thread where you went off the rails.

3. You keep saying things like "do you know the laws in my country" while refusing to actually specify what your country is, specifically to be argumentative.

4. I also have access to moderator discussions, activity, and modmail tickets. So yes, I read your modmail ticket from beginning to end.

5. You were asked to drop your flooding a bug report thread with your armchair pseudo-legal nonsense four times in a row before being timed out.

6. You also made a specific allegation, which I will quote here: "You said because I was discussing even after the mod told me to stop. That's not true." However, after a mod said "But I think we’ve talked this to death. So it’s time to end the convo." you continued to press your issues. As that might not have been direct enough they followed up with "Which is why we’re at an impasse and there’s no point in discussing further." After several more of your posts the moderator stated directly "But drop it now, please." And then "Enough, Bee. We’re talking in circles and that’s enough."

Your response to that warning was "If kabam bans me, I will sue them for sure. I have sued banks and won the case." Which I guess is the 2024 version of "I know Kung Fu." So there was one final warning: "Drop it and go elsewhere." and when you defied that warning, you were timed out. I think it is fair to mention all of this, as it occurred on the public Discord.

7. You also asked a question in your modmail ticket, which I think is reasonable to address here. You asked why if account ban discussions are not allowed, a moderator engaged the original Discord message? That happens. Moderators are not infallible or robots, and sometimes one moderator will make a judgment call in the interests of helping the player community, while another moderator will decide that the subject violates the Discord rules and put an end to it. And most likely the reason why the thread was closed was because of you. Account bans are not allowed to be discussed for all sorts of reasons, but one of them is that they attract lunatics who insist on jumping into them with no actual situational awareness and an abundance of ignorance. Your tirade was almost certainly a contributor to reminding the moderators why, even if they want to be helpful, there are some topics that attract too much nonsense to be allowed to happen.

Given all the available evidence, good luck with your support ticket.

You cannot take EU customers data outside or it comes with much more restrictions. And You need their consent and keeping copies of data that a customer is not aware of is legal trouble. I have done GDPR compliances for may companies in the EU. I know what I am talking about.

A company is liable in millions for this. Only and only if it's a court proceeding, it's okay to have personal information and is allowed by international law.
It is extremely unlikely you are someone qualified to work on GDPR compliance.

Under the GDPR, customers have a set of enumerated rights. These rights are echoed in the Privacy policy for the game (see: https://kabam.com/privacy-notice/). Under the privacy policy, and consistent with the requirements of the GDPR, Kabam states a presumption of consent to collect, store, and process the minimum amount of personal information necessary for purpose (i.e. running the game). Players have, among other rights, two specific rights: the right to access, and the right to deny consent. Under the right to access, players subject to the GDPR are allowed to request all potentially personal customer information being collected, processed, and stored by the company. Under the right to deny consent, players can by explicit request revoke the consent to process their information, whereupon the company must immediately cease collecting, storing, and processing that information. This would almost certainly lead to the immediate closing of the player’s account.

To make a claim of GDPR violation in this context, you must present evidence that a player has revoked consent and Kabam has continued to hold their information. That seems unlikely to be happening, because Kabam would have no interest or reason to hold onto player information beyond that point.

Even though I am not currently a resident of a jurisdiction subject to the GDPR, when the GDPR was passed I actually submitted a request for access to see if Kabam would satisfy that request for EU players, and they did (I think these days you have to attest to having this right under the GDPR, whereas originally that was not an explicit requirement). And I know players have demanded to have their game accounts closed and deleted, and Kabam has done so (I know this because it has happened that a player made that request, and then later changed their minds and tried to get their accounts back. If they change their minds outside of the 30 day suspense period, as far as I am aware it’s just permanently gone).

Anyone who actually works in this field would know all of this. They would certainly know more than I do, and have done more homework than I have, as a non-lawyer that tangentially works in the field of compliance.

Do not try to Google your way to a law degree or professional credentials. This might work in front of your Roblox friends, but professionals can always sniff out the Wikipedia jockey frauds.
As per kabam they are not responsible for discord GDPR compliant and I should ask discord company. And there is no real link between discord and the game app itself. So there could be people in discord not in the game. And as a EU citizen if I make decision to delete my data or retrieve my data from any company using my personal data. I should also be aware how my information is processed by the company. Not that I care. This is something kabam should be aware of . So was making my suggestion on this part as well. But I am being targeted for what I don't know

They are aware of all of this, because like I said, those rights are enumerated in their Privacy policy, which is linked at the bottom of the forum page.

But has been said repeatedly, you are not being "targeted" for presenting facts to the community. You were silenced for abusive behavior that you were repeatedly warned about. You are trying to portray yourself as some helpful informative soul who was blindsided by a ban from out of nowhere. Not that I think anyone here believes that, due to your behavior here, but you were not trying to contribute information in the Discord thread in question. You were not trying to provide assistance to a player who claimed they were banned in error. You were throwing around bombshells like "if Kabam bans in error they can be sued" (I'm paraphrasing here). For a brief moment I actually thought you were doing a Yakov Smirnoff bit: "in my country game doesn't ban you, country bans games. Yuk Yuk."

At least you are becoming aware of the fact that the GDPR would apply to Discord and not Kabam when it comes to Kabam's Discord server. That sounds like something that someone who worked on GDPR compilance for "many companies" should know.

Let's hope those companies don't play MCOC and read its forums. They might want their money back.

OP thinks he is being bullied by discord mods and claims they can sue kabam for this and that. Nothing more than a temper tantrum. Half of their comments is just them going in circles saying the exact same thing they've already said before while also quoting and responding to themselves.

The way you're sharing it is a tantrum. You've commented so much nonsense in this thread about things you don't know anything about and only showing partial screenshots.

As for Discord, you create your account through discord, not Kabam. I have a few discord servers I'm an admin for, and I can't see any personal information from the users. So I'm not sure what personal information you think Kabam has that they don't already have via the game.

If you're worried about that, you need to contact Discord. But I guarantee you they're in compliance with laws of the countries that allow the app in.

I am not. But, thanks for the concern and support. If someone bullies and threatens me,.especially a mod, I dont feel safe. It's not okay.
