The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!
Balance system is a joke, something needs to be done! Referring to DLL comments on silver sable

It's easy to see why some people would disagree with DLL there, I disagree too cause the meta staying the same with the same top broken champs year after year is starting to bore me to death.
The keys things for you Kabam,
Like with most of the champions this year, they have a use in a field in the game and while they don't exactly have the best damage, they have a place.
White Tiger is a great power control champ, Bullseye is a utility and defensive machine, Ironheart provides some great utility to the tech class, Dust has good damage and has become a staple defender, The Serpent like Bullseye is a utility and defensive machine and very fun champ to play, Destroyer has great damage and defensive potential, Prowler also has great damage and utility, Spider-Punk has surprisingly great damage, Negasonic checks a lot of skill matchups, Northstar has insane damage in long fights, Arcade is a decent defender and has decent damage but is a very fun champ to play, Patriot is a strong Photon counter and has great damage and The Leader is broken in Regeneration and Power Gain matchups.
Bear in mind I'm basing some of these summaries based on what I have seen as I don't own some of these champions, but I own Sable as a 7* and the small amount of utility she has paired with her terrible damage leads me to use other champions that don't even check the champions she was designed to counter solely because they can get it done quicker with less hassle.
You’ll survive.
I know this is beyond the point you were trying to make but I just couldn't let you say that I'm sorry. Ignore me
Lmao
Also this is getting into semantics and from a bg standpoint most champs lack damage and are disappointing but there are champs there with great damage. Northstar has great damage and so does destroyer. Unfortunately their loops are bad and you won’t get to use that damage potential much. Patriot had good damage too but he also seems to need to get going. So it’s a combination of bad damage champs combined with “takes a long time to get great damage” champs (northstar, destroyer, patriot)
With cheeilth & onslaught im not disagreeing about their heavy reach being massive, im saying I don’t see how it causes problems. Both their play styles call for heavy countering heavies, so they highly benefit from a long heavy reach. I just find it awfully strange that DLL would see this as a problem instead of a bonus towards their kit.
OG Hulk I actually agree with, I think it’s a little bit cheesy that he can consistently stunlock fairly large healthpools just by reaching almost an sp2. The ai only has about 10 seconds where they can actually do something before they’re just completely shut off, it’s pretty nuts. I do think it’s a bit op, but it’s fine because it doesn’t completely break the meta like serpent does as a champ. It’s great in bgs but still takes 40-45s which is beatable, it’s not like he shuts down fights AND nukes them in 25s. There’s a time cost that comes with it, that’s why he’s not sweeping the meta with stunlock.
I understand that he’s not advocating for these champs to be changed in game for balance. I have no issue with him stating his opinion, but I find those statements hypocritical when he introduces a champ who as I said, completely breaks the meta balance even at the highest of tiers.
I don’t know what his opinions are on how balanced serpent is, so I won’t speak on that. If he admits that he thinks he went too far with serpent’s design, then more respect to him. But from what I’ve watched of him I wouldn’t expect it.
I don’t think that his opinion becomes more correct because he’s a dev who has more info. Everyone has inherit bias, and he as a dev would be biased towards Kabam’s side just like we as the community are biased towards pro-player decisions. To say that his opinion is more impartial than a community member’s just because he is a dev, is logically incorrect. Him being a dev has no effect on his level of bias, only which side he stands on.
As far as serpent goes, a lot of my arguments against DLL are because of the existence of serpent. As a dev I totally expect him to be strict on balance, and that’s totally understandable. But then he designs a champ that goes completely against the arguments he stands by. His opinions on game balance only seem to apply to when it’s helpful to the community, and not when it benefits Kabam. I don’t believe he’s impartial, because I have not once seen him disagree with something kabam has done when it’s against the playerbase, only the other way around. And it becomes even further exaggerated when he starts to make claims like the one he made with sable just assuming that those who complain about her damage just clearly haven’t played her. It’s such a wild assumption to bunch everyone who disagrees with him on that point into one group just to defend a lackluster champ. It’s statements like these that make it hard for me to believe he’s impartial.
TLDR: I don’t have a problem with him stating his opinion, it’s fact that his actions through his champ designs directly contradict the opinions he uses, and that his opinions only seem to apply when they help kabam, and not the community.
Nothing is exempt, this game would not be where it is without communication between the developers and the player's praises and criticisms.
Players are welcome to share their opinions on the forums, but this kind of behaviour crosses the line.
