they should just buff both of them at this point, if there winds up being a winner they can get buffed first

Not like that would be twice as much work or anything
Not like that would bring in double the amount of money from pre-release bundles or anything.

You mean the pre release bundles for a champion that most people already have? It also wouldn't be double the money since they would have to move another champion out of the lineup that people don't have. They already said that the iron man buff wasn't a big money grabber

    1. We don't have 7* Cyclops or Strange in the game.
    2. By the time we get those reworks (which would be second half of next year) 6* will be almost completely irrelevant (except for the obvious ones that can punch a rank above like Hulkling) since most of us will have r3 decks.
Yes, whales have plenty of reasons to whale out on those pre-release bundles, you're not looking at the bigger picture here.

As for the Iron Man buff, it wasn't big money cause very few people cared about it, and very few people wanted that buff in the first place. People have been asking for Strange and Cyclops for years, way more than Iron Man was. Iron Man wasn't even in the top 10 most requested reworks, these two are not only in the top 10 they're probably second and third most requested only after Groot, there's a huge difference there.

You can't be serious that no one cared about the iron man buff lmao. Also no one is buying preview deals for a chance to get the 7 star of a champ they probably have as a 6 star at high sig considering they'll inevitably be in the titan not long after that. Also 6 stars are no more irrelevant than they were when 7 stars dropped

No idea why, but I can't see the poll. Whoever decided it was a good idea to vote in instagram, thanks a lot

I said "few people" not "no one" lmao you can't read?

People spent money on that Cap's Commissary event a year ago for a 7* Civil Warrior and you're telling me no one would spend any money to try to get Strange or Cyclops? Lol I would, and most of the people on my Discord server which has over 100 members said they would too, because like I said 6* will be irrelevant by the end of next year and these two are the second and third most wanted reworks in the game easily. So no, some of us would, speak for yourself.

Of course they're not right now but by the time the rework happens which would be towards the end of next year, most of us will be using r3 7* for the most part a lot of people already have over 10 and 2024 is not even over yet. You think the game's economy isn't going to change at all in a year? πŸ’€

Your point still makes no sense if you say that not many people cared about the iron man buff, it was literally one of the most well received and talked about decisions the game has made in years.

The difference with the commissary was that civil warrior was a bonus to the deals they were buying, not the sole reason to spend money.

I don't think the games economy is going to stay the same, I just think 6 stars will be relevant for a lot longer than you think

Can't be that relevant if almost nobody is using him in BGs these days, I rarely even see him in decks anymore and when I do see him it's usually awakened r3.

That may be true but like I said, I've already discussed this with my Discord server and most agree, some people here agree too. You're the only one on this thread vehemently arguing against both being added, you're already the minority.

Well, how exactly do you figure that happening? A lot of 6* are already becoming irrelevant because they simply can't handle r3 defenders, if you've ever tried taking down a r3 Sasquatch with a r5 Torch or Scorpion you'll know what I'm talking about. A lot of people already have between 8-12 r3 7*, how many do you think they're going to have in 13 months? At the very least 20-24, we still got Cyberweekend and Banquet this year + all the p2w events from next year + all the new content from next year, hence my comment: most 6* will be irrelevant by then with some few exceptions like Hulkling CGR etc if Strange and Cyclops don't hit as hard as any of those then the 6* versions will probably be irrelevant too cause most decks will be r3 7* for the most part.

Nope, and I wouldn't expect any announcements before Friday they have a big decision to make. Please everyone, or leave 50% of the playerbase completely disappointed.

They’ll most likely take whoever had the most votes (since one is definitely slightly ahead) but if they end up giving us both, that would be awesome

They didn’t have any plans to do this tho so I’m not sure what to expect since this is a full rework. My second hope would be that they rework the winner and overhaul the other champ (hope Cyke gets the rework in that case).

They could do that but I think the community is way too divided this time to not do both. Even Glad and White Tiger wasn't this close: 50.5% - 49.5% so that alone speaks volumes.
I don't even know how percentages work on Instagram cause it's impossible for the results to be literally 50% - 50%. Only way this makes sense is if decimals are being rounded up and down in which case one of them must be sitting at 49.6%-49.9% and the other one at 50.4%-50.1% which would also explain why you can't even spot the difference in the bars either. Regardless, it's closer than Glad and White Tiger, I think we deserve both, and I will die on that hill lol

One thing's sure, right now they are discussing hard on their call.

In my opinion, the 50/50 % result is a clear message that we vote 2 winners out of the 8 champions selected.

I vote Dr.Strange... and for me it's a clear tie since we can't see the details of voting on Instagram.

I will keep my money in my pocket for a while if the called Cyclops the lone winner (even if he needs it)

Where do you play Silver 3? Genuine question cause I haven't seen one the whole season.
Right but as I've previously pointed out, I can run Cyclops with full synergies and boosts in questing and get away with it, questing is irrelevant for the most part because the champs kit isn't the only thing being taken into account the way it is in BGs.

Show me where exactly they said they won't do both, cause I was on every single livestream and they never said anything like that explicitly.

I still don't understand why the buff/rework program slowed down so much this year.
They went from two buffs per month to one buff every 3-4 months.
This isn’t just a buff, it’s a full rework. That means new animations and a completely new kit that discards everything he previously had. Most champs don’t get this, they just get updated abilities (Skull, RG, SIM, NC, Hulk, Juggs)

    Cyclops won

"Keep on an eye on Cyclops in 2025" means what? The buff will go live in 4 months (i.e., January 2025), or in 12 months?

And Kabam will ignore the 50% who vote for Strange?
    Just like that? Wow...

I don't think it was exactly 50%, that's why they chose him. There are percentages

Not really he can still be reworked after cyclops like how summoner choice champs go where they get added eventually sometimes quick sometimes late but im sure as hes second he will be prioritised hopefully after cyclops

Honestly it doesn’t matter to me who gets buffed, I got both these mfs as 6 stars that I’ve never leveled before. Hopefully one of these guys becomes a beast when they do the rework

Same here but it's interesting that the vote was on Instagram vs being in game but we'll see what happens.
