INCORRECT CRUCIBLE OBJECTIVE TIMER

Superdave1966Superdave1966 Member Posts: 129

Does everyone else have these times showing on their "crucible quest exploration " objective and the reunion tokens exchange items in the Featured item store?
As well as the time showing the objective can be completed up to September 4th,some youtubers had "complete by September 4th" on them.
I was reading the 'time is running out' mail for the reunion event and I was a bit concerned how the crucible objective was included in the list of content expiring on 28th August,so I emailed kabam who informed me that the objective does in fact expire in 2 days, even though I sent screenshots of the 2 timers.can someone confirm if this is the case, even though it's obviously the decent thing to honour the timer they set weeks ago in game?
Do we have 8 days to complete the crucible quest objective,or 2 days?

If kabam already told you that it expires in 2 days, who else are you asking confirmation from?
Do you just come to this forum to criticise posts without thinking.you will see that there is one sensible answer below from someone who is telling me to ignore the email(which was written by a professional email answerer, not a dev),and trust the in game timer, which is actually good common sense.the only problem with that for me is that I have had an event/objective finish before the timer previous to this event.
If you wanted to sincerely comment you could have at least answered the question of whether your timer says the same as mine,or not

The email had an incorrect date on it, combining the end time of the crucible with the other reunion events. Go by the in-game timers.

Thanks bud I would love to trust the timer but I have been caught out like this before.its obviously the sensible answer and it's possible the support worker has given me the wrong information.
Would you mind telling me what your timer says please,it's not just mine that says 8 days left is it?

The in-game message referred to the end of the Reunion event, not the end of the Crucible objective. Since the Crucible is permanent content, it and the objective exist independent of the Reunion event. The Reunion will end on Wednesday, but you still have until September 4th to explore the Crucible for the objective. The timer is correct.

I had the posted the same question a few days back and even tagged all the admins. As usual, dead silence!

That's a bit unnerving, bit surely if everyone has the same timer and the youtubers have further advertised the 4th September finishing date hopefully kabam wouldn't end it before the timer expires, even if it's a mistake and the intended end is 28th August.thanks for your input dude

Thank you,my furry friend, you sound pretty certain which gives me a lot of confidence.

I would still suggest that if you can do it now, then do it now. But there's no reason to think you won't be safe trusting in the timer.

The content even though it's not hard it requires planning beforehand and is definitely time consuming. So I would not advice to attempt it without proper plannig.

What I can do is answer any questions or doubts he may have.

"Do that if you have time to do this" Is an irresponsible comment. It has been 18hrs or so since the post was created and I doubt he has been wasting that time only watching the forums for any answers to his post. Everyone has a life. If you don't want to give out constructive comments then don't comment. No one asked for it.

They seem to be REALLY good at having incorrect/mismatched dates.

    Some things never change.

Nice part about the Crucible is that you can start it whenever you want and take as long as you want. I broke my runs up into a couple chunks. Threw on boosts, took fights until they ran out, then took a break. Since it's an extra questing team, you can come and go as you please in the content without any impact to the rest of the game. So if you've got 10 minutes here an there, take a fight and then back to the real life grind. Chipping away slowly but surely definitely isn't a bad approach.

Yeah I really hope the person that answered the email has the wrong information and the timer is right
