When I watch him he seems to be an easygoing, friendly person. Like he's always nice, whenever he's responding to a comment, responding to questions on his livestream, etc. He never treats them like that.

While this is may be true, I've heard/seen it(only once or twice), you're missing a s**tload of context. To those he's said something like that, they were being major a**holes because they didn't agree with or follow the comments chat was giving him. His response is usually something like "it's his account & if you don't like how I'm doing things, you can leave." None of which was ever "yelled" as you falsely stated...

I don’t watch his channel religiously, but that doesn’t sound in character for what I’ve seen. However, context is everything. As a moderator for the official discord, I’ve seen an uncountable number of help tickets basically saying “I’ve been muted/modded/banned for absolutely no reason at all” and in every case there’s a very obvious reason upon close examination. I don’t know if this is because these people literally have no idea that their behavior is actionable, which implies they are six years old or sociopaths, or they think saying it makes it true, like they think they are reality warpers or something, or they just think the moderators are too lazy to do research (bad, bad call to make for volunteers of anything).

However, what I do know is that watching moderator or other reactionary behavior out of context can always generate very shaky narratives. What prompts someone to react in an apparently poor manner has to be taken into account when judging anecdotes like this. Absent that context, I am extremely skeptical.

I was going to read all the comments before commenting, but I had to address this issue specifically. I am one of his mods. Prof is a friend who is suddenly dealing/living with being bipolar. This disease runs in the family, and hit him very suddenly. It's up-ended his whole life. Not wanting to take meds, he's run away from home to make a new life. We encourage him to get back on his meds, go to family so he can get help and be watched over, and to take a break from social media. Because he thinks he is 100% fine (which he definitely isn't), he doesn't want to hear that he has problems. He's run off quite a few subscribers, mods and friends in the process. To make matters worse, he's blindly given mod abilities to trolls and a few people he's met irl that are taking advantage of him. THOSE people are banning anyone that brings up Prof needing help... with Prof's blessings. Prof doesn't understand that he isn't well. Every now and then, we're able to spark something in his head that makes him question aloud what he's doing with his life and even ask "who am I"... but those moments are short lived. This whole situation is very sad. I (and other friends of his) have spoken with him on the phone many times since he's gone back on YouTube... again too early for our liking, to try to get him to take care of himself and to try to keep him from doing anything he'd regret. Today's video was of him being angry for being catfished... those people should be ashamed. Prof is also on TikTok & X... and we wish he would stop. But so long as he's unmedicated anything can happen. I won't guard Prof from hearing things he doesn't want to hear... he needs to hear that he's not himself and needs help. He's in his own world and his need to help people is real... and that's what he thinks he's doing. Even if that means he'd illogically blow off his career and make himself bankrupt in the process. Please keep him in your prayers. In the meantime, I will try to get him back on coarse the best I can, IF I can (as will MommaBear, Kikrox and And know that if I can't and things get worse for him, I am going to feel his demise was in my hands because he certainly didn't deserve for this to happen to him and I'll always feel like there's more I can do. Sorry this comment was so long.

All due respect, but you can’t take responsibility for someone else’s actions/demise. We are all human and have the ability to make our own choices and decisions.

Mine. I don't have to like anyone because you do. I went to his stream and I saw what I took as kind of a disrespectful person and It didn't jive with me so I stopped watching. You have fun there? ok cool. you do you. Maybe I caught him on a bad day but it is what it is.. I'm sure he will be ok.

It's sad what's happening to Prof Hoff.. he shared in some streams that he and his brothers had to mature earlier due to some mental issues affecting their mom.. which he also says she got help and is much better now.

don't remember him ever mentioning their father thou.. Prof Hoff is aware of the chance that mental issues may befall him or his siblings.. but I think he didn't think it would happen so soon.

I am not an expert in these matters but it is clear.. he isn't well.. bipolar, schizophrenia, or other mental disorders that are caused by electrical imbalance in the brain..

Thanks TheExit27, MommaBear, Kikrok86 for trying to pull him back into his old self.. I hope his brothers and Israel are strong for him.. 🙏 for Prof Hoff to come to his senses and see who are his real friends.. takes his medication and get this setback behind him.

All due respect, but you can’t take responsibility for someone else’s actions/demise. We are all human and have the ability to make our own choices and decisions.

Unfortunately in this situation, the person involved often loses the ability to make their own choices and decisions apart from a lot of other issues. So, while it is eventually on him to figure it out and get better, he also needs the support of friends and family to guide him on the right path and help him in any way possible.This is not a battle that can be won alone.

Yeah, Prof Hoff (Shane) isn't doing well. He doesn't want help and doesn't think he needs help. He's surrounded himself (online) with bad people who enjoy his manic decline. He's rejected family, friends, community friends/followers and associates. He seems VERY far from coming back. People like Israel, MommaBear & KatyCandy have even been publicly villainized by him just because they express their concern. Those of us that get updates from him are very sad by all of this. Keep him in your prayers everyone. I won't be airing all his dirty laundry or giving a day-by-day of all his social media videos or posts... if you feel the need to see for yourself, you'll find him easily. But proceed with caution. ALSO, please don't subscribe or donate to him... doing so will only validate his behavior and encourage him. Thank you, everyone.

There must be a way for a family member to suspend his social media and youtube accounts. He s obviously off his meds, and that makes his situation even worse by the day. That and the psychological devastation he got from his break up with the gold digger.

I reached out to him last Friday, gave him my number, he actually called me, we talked for 15 min. He is completely delusional of what is going on around him. The Taylor Swift stuff, the giving of money away, ridiculous outburst to the ladies that helped him.

Like someone else said, Jokers decent into madness, sad to see, and hear.

I wouldn't even know where to start with the help he needs.

It goes beyond that, I dunno if people are being naive or just innocent; but so far there has been questioning about his upbringing, parent relationship, family, claims of reaching out in private and revealing contents of the conversation...
You guys do realize he probably has access to the forums, at some point good intentions can do kore harm.
As much as good wishes, gummy drops and rainbows are nice, its not gonna cure him, he needs help, not a thread analyzing his every move.

i don't know what can be done about this awful situation. he's deep in his illness, can't be reasoned with, and he's villainizing and cutting off all contact with anyone that wants him to get psychiatric treatment.

and there's a special place in hell for all the people who are enabling his illness and getting off on his self-destruction. he's made many of them mods on his channel and they're actively blocking and banning folks who are trying to reason with him.

it's such a shi tty situation and another classic case of having to hit rock bottom before actual help becomes a possibility.

I checked out his recent live stream today and he was going on about his brothers want him to come home and they want to help him. I chatted, “you should listen to his brothers and have some family time”…

He then asked his mods to “ban this troll” after he read my message out loud. His whole chat is mods now enabling him.

So I was checking prof’s stream since I heard about his problems he has been having. And was very disturbed by how it ended this Thursday. Since he numerously told about he was going to unalive himself due to having no money. And the stream ended at his balcony window. Is there anything we can do about it. This is urgent he needs help from someone. Is there someone who knows prof to check if he is okay.
