I completely read over this -- and this is completely unacceptable.

Unacceptable. How is that justified?

I defy anyone, anyone at all, to explain to me clearly and concisely how going through 5.2 means a person is able to spend units on a character that is unavailable to those who have not -- we understood completely that they had better chances and more chances, should they purchase those crystals by being Uncollected, and that was relatively fine, because those characters were still available to the rest of us through the Featured Crystal.

Now...wow. People who aren't Uncollected can't try to grt get new 5-stars on Day 1 at all, even if they are willing to spend units?

This isn't hyperbole.

That is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

I didn't say anything about the 15k crystal. I thought we were talking about the FGMC. I am vehemently opposed to the new 15k feature crystal, and actually had a few posts removed and a warning on the main thread. Don't get upset about the FGMC crystal that uncollected can buy when it's the change to the 15k crystal that you should be posting about instead.

With the amount of units you obviously are prepared to spend on FGMCs take 600 of them and go get uncollected. That should be more then enough with a 5/50 team

Listen it isnt hard to become uncollected. You dont have to 100 every act to get to 5.2. To be honest alot of us have EARNED the right to become uncollected. Ive been playing this game for over two years now. I only went for a feature once in fgmc. Its a waste of units to try and or money. Even us uncollected cant go for featured 15k shard crystals anymore. So it basically levels the playing field. I for one will not be wasting my shards on the new crystal its full of trash champs. Maybe the next set will be better. But until then dont get mad or pissed cause you dont have the time or cant get to that point in the game where some of us are at. More shards and opportunities will be happening soon. Hence why that are making these changes. They do it for a reason. Money comes into play but you dont have to choose that path. This game takes time and dedication. Be patient youll get that god tier eventually

Ok, going to try and reword this, and this will be my last post on this matter. I agree the 15k crystal change is a bug steamy pile of 💩 .

But when you make the title of your post "Wait, what? With this change, only the Uncollected will be able to get new 5-stars on Day 1?" It sounds an awful lot like you think it's unfair that people earned their way to buy the crappy FGMC.

Now let me get this straight. You're upset about the change to the 15k crystal, right? Not the fact that people who are uncollected can buy the FGMC? If so I would suggest making a post in the main thread and voice your opinion on it. Watch out though, I'm sure GroundedWisdom will have something stupid to say about it.

@Svain: It's actually just a statement of fact -- the thread title is literal.

The change to the 15K crystal is an ambivalent issue to me -- what matters to me is that the Day 1 opportunity is lost with it and not being replaced by anything.

Again: Nothing has been taken from the Uncollected that hasn't been taken from the rest of the player base. That isn't the issue. The issue is an opportunity has been taken from the rest of the player base that another portion of the player base has -- the mechanism isn't the issue.

The lost opportunity is the issue. This kind of change, again, is all fun and games when a pereon is to the right of the cutoff line.

It doesn't take much for that cutoff line to get moved further, though, and those people who feel good about themselves today will see exactly what I am talking about and why this arbitrary change is ridiculous.

This is a weird thread. So many people missing the point entirely. Earlier, Uncollected players had 2 ways to get a 5* as soon as it was released. Spin the featured 5* crystal or spin FGMCs. Now, for many champs, Uncollected people will have only 1 way of getting them on day 1—through FGMC. Doesn't matter if the odds are ****. They still have a way of getting the champs. For non-uncollected people, they had only 1 way of getting a champ as soon as it was released—featured 5* crystals. Now, they have absolutely no way of getting the champ immediately.
I agree with OP that non-uncollected people should still have some way to get a new 5* champ. You cannot just force everyone to become Uncollected to gain that chance—a very **** chance at that. The whole featured crystal change was ridiculously and done simply to milk more money from the whales and of course those whales won't stop spending. This just screws normal people who want to get good champs. Progress in this game is just getting lucky in a rng fiesta

The only people who have "played longer than me" were in the Beta -- you people think you know so much about every other person who plays this game. My roster is 380K. It's totally fine to any content, especially if I back it with units.

I can do whatever i want in this game -- but I choose to play monthly events, special events, AQs. The occasional AW. I grind Arenas and daily quests for resources. Every day. Because that is what interests me and the alliance I lead.

There's no requirement that any of us have to compete Story Quests. Uncollected was an introduced perk for people playing Act 5 while they finsihed work on 5.3 and 5.4, not a break point to give members of the player base an opportunity that others don't have at all.

I don't need to worry about building my roster -- thanks for the tip. I already did it. A long time ago.

That doesn't mean you, or anyone else, gets to dictate how I play the game when the way we all played was how Kabam had it structured, while Uncollected is an introduced benefit, an addition, not a requirement.

@ESF but you are trying to dictate how the rest of play the game because you don't want to become uncollected. Kabam can do what they want with their game. You are choosing not to get t he title. Thats on you. They aren't going to make adjustments for players like you.
