To Open or Not to Open the Eggs?

So if Brian is to sacrifice his most prized possession, he doesn’t even get a title!? A title like “Tony Stark” or “Tony Starks Ultimate Sacrifice” or “The Ultimate Sacrifice” or “Tony’s Sacrifice” and some sort of one off profile pic or something!? I mean I know he already has a one-off title but come on. I know he can’t have the bastion title bc only one can have it but give the man something. The milestone rewards aren’t INSANE. At the current state of the situation I think he will hold on to them. But something like this MIGHT turn the tables

So it is not unqiue for him? I don't think it's a big deal to not open it. What if Kabam auto opens the egg in a later date?

He's probably the only summoner with all 3 of em and has held them for a long time because they are kinda big deal for him. The rewards of the event aren't even that good to be honest, if it was a guaranteed 7* then it would've been somewhat worth it.

Hes overthinking it and its all become a bit childish really. They are just old crystals that he has glorified and the community has somehow been simping on him about them. The crystals will actually never be as valuable as they currently are. Open 3 old crystals and simultaneously distribute 1m+ exalted crystals? Its a no brainer and hes not stupid.

Knowing his style he will wait for the last day (to see if we get it anyway, which makes perfect sense).
And he will then open them live 3 mins or so before the event ends. Not sure if that may actually screw us and we wont be able to claim the rewards, but that would be his thinking.

I'm not sure but do all the other milestones unlock? If so then of course he should do it.

If it was me, I would have clocked the milestone and then gone completely out of character and just said.. 'ok that makes sense' and then just popped all 3 right there and then. Done away with the whole end of the universe / egg keeper malarkey.

If they gonna auto open then let that happen in silence.

I am almost certain that this was a plan all along. It’s difficult to digest that kabam all of a sudden created an objective on a whim exclusively for BG. They probably had intention of opening the egg after this event and now added that objective to make this more fun and to give the community the final milestone regardless. I think this is actually a great idea on part of kabam.

It is interesting how people have been claiming that the rewards from the realm event aren't good this whole last month, but suddenly, when someone else can do all the work for them, the rewards are now the cream of the crop and it is a "no-brainer decision" to get them? As much as I'd like the egg profile picture, the cost is too steep of a price to ask from Brian.

Pre-planned or not. I have already seen toxic comments on Brian in chats and various comment sections. We can't stop toxic people, they are just toxic.

And I don't think this is pre-planned.
He went too hard on opening the crystals for the community. For 4 straight hours, he tried to persuade people to open crystals. Even I went ahead and opened small amount of solo shards I was saving, I did just because of him.
This special objective sure is a recent idea.
How it feels like is kabam trying to save face by firing a gun from Brian's shoulders.

I already feel sympathy for him. All he has are his eggs *ahmm*. I don't want to see him eggless.

(I'm not subscribed to him for a good while, but this is a community event, and I do enjoy his videos outside regular gameplay.)

I agree with you. No need to be toxic about it. Or towards anyone else who is hoarding crystals. I thought this was a cool incentive to open the eggs but crashed mentioned his eggs are safe. We should leave BG alone and let him decide what he wants to do

I'm interested in whether Kabam has actually made any calculations when designing this realm event. On average, what percentage of a player's current crystals should be opened to maximize the event? Is the goal even achievable? I would assume Kabam wants their first realm event to be a success, but I haven't really seen any additional incentive towards regular players to open more crystals - or am I mistaken?

As a side note, I hope BG keeps his eggs unopened. The rewards aren’t worth it. While it's extremely funny, it feels a bit strange to put BG in this situation.

I hope he doesn’t open them. He’s already done a livestream opening nearly 50k of crystals. If that’s should be more than enough for this community event. We clearly are nowhere near on track to reach all the milestones, but that’s on everyone. If everyone wants the rewards so badly then open your crystals. If not, leave the man with the greatest bald cap business to keep his eggs.

They will be opened automatically anyway at some point in time. They did this a couple years ago and listed tons of old crystals that would be auto-opened and he was stressing then about it. Again they have left those alone but eventually they will come up for auto-open anyway. Might as well open them now and get something extra anyway.
