How did you even find your rank? I got my 1-10% rewards, but I can't find my actual rank with this new interface.

I haven't even gotten rewards yet. Its probably going to take time since the rewards are going out to literally everyone who played (who plays for a month and doesn't open a single crystal?)

My guess is that when rewards come in, people are looking at the rewards tab (not the email) because rank is usually listed there for event rewards with rank rewards. I can't verify, because I can't see those yet. I know my place because I'm in the top 200 leaderboard itself.

They added 500m to Brian's score to give us all the milestones. They intended to remove them afterwards so he did not steal Bastion from the deserving player. But when they did, we lost all the milestones again because our score dropped. So they gave him back the 500m and fixed the milestones so we could all collect them, then found second place and added one billion points to their score to put them firmly in first.

As there are no rewards for second, third, or any other place except for the percentage bracket rewards, this does not directly impact anyone's rewards it just puts the right person in first place. This is also why our current realm score looks like 2.1 billion points. There are 1.5 billion extra points in there.

Eggs didn't grant any points. The objective for opening all three itself granted 500m.

Vern was manually awarded an extra one billion points to ensure he was number one above Brian. That's where the extra points come from.

But if the Egg's 500m was taken back, and then re-added, wouldn’t Kabam have only needed to give Vern an exact 500m extra as well ?
That would have put Vern back on top.

Why did they give him 1b instead (twice as much as needed) ?

Was it a “just in case” way of making sure the retraction and re-giving of BG's 500m didn’t somehow count for him as 1b + for him still (so they wouldn’t have to go back and readjust yet another time if worst case happened) ?

And, so is this why (you were gunning for top spot as well) that you were sort of silent regarding @Smugglinplums potential adjustment of placement vs BG (if Smugglin was otherwise the “real” leader, as some ppl may have thought) ?
Because you knew you were ahead of him, and didn’t want to give him a tip-off that he would need to do some more ? 😀

Amazing that there were several people above 100,000. (of course, Smugglin sort of advertised their 100,000, giving a target that others knew what they needed to beat, lol)

I don’t know for sure, but what I can say is that in these kinds of situations, where precision is unimportant but final results are, overkill is underrated. Maybe they thought about the give/take/give situation, or maybe they were just playing it safe. Possibly both.

Actually, I didn’t want to demoralize him more than anything else. I had a pretty good estimate of where I was going to land, and I knew I was going to end up north of 20k higher. There was no reason to actually say that to someone that just exhausted all their crystals. I felt it would be attention-stealing to say anything (or hint) about my score in his thread.

My suspicion is that while Smugglin did plant a flag out there, all of us who got above 100k knew that there was no way Bastion was going for less than that, and all of us knew the winner would be well above 100k.

Before starting to open crystals very early on, I did some mental calculations based on my own crystal collection and reasonable extrapolations of what other players might have and might be willing to part with. What I ended up with is that there were likely a handful of players willing to go above 100k, and the maximum number of crystals they could likely open was in the range of 120k to 150k. I could get into that range, so I decided to give it a shot, gambling on whether those who could, would.

As it turns out, Vern blew my range out of the water, reaching very close to what I thought was the theoretical limit that was unlikely to show up - about 200k. And my understanding is he was the only player to get anywhere near that level. The rest of us got nowhere close. We’re all closer to each other than we are to him.
