A logical discussion about missing rewards when joining a new alliance

1st point. I had zero idea I'd be cut from my alliance because my phone broke and I missed a day of aq and one off season war.
2nd. I may have missed it. But I live on the MCN by rich the man and I also spend a lot of the time on the forums and I don't recall kabam giving us any warnings that we may miss out on rewards and the entire side event completion if we aren't in an alliance day one of the new event.
3rd. A lot of people try using the 'if you didn't contribute why should you get the reward' arguement. By the end of the event I will guaranteed have top 5 contribution in the alliance if not more than 75% of my very active alliance. And so I definitely will do 'my part'.
Final point. It's not game breaking rewards. I'm not crying about anything. Yes I'm frustrated I can't complete the side quest because I was 24 hrs late. But it just doesn't make sense. It should be on a time lock or contribution lock. And I can't even read the little orange words under the unclaimed items because the new UI is so convoluted idk if I'm being told they will activate later or if it's saying I missed out. Congrats if you were in an alliance day one hour one. But this really sucks when it's out of your control. At platinum and higher a person can't just 'jump alliances' you have to shop and prove your ability to contribute.

Dang bro, one day of AQ and offseason war? Did they also make you r3 Surfer and take him to sig 200?

I get what you mean. I hate alliance focused events for this reason. But the while reason this system is in place is to prevent people from alliance hopping and getting double rewards. People can go alliance to alliance and collect the first couple of milestones of bounties and get more of the reward then intended. Again they suck but i honestly can’t think of a alternative way to create a event with the purpose of encouraging joining a alliance without having people exploit the reward system.

The rewards are not game breaking when receiving the intended amount, but can become a problem if people starting gaining twice the amount intended.

That's why one should not jump alliances in hopes of something better
Because those Alliance will KICK you for someone better.

Get a chill, friendly Alliance and stick to it

I did. I am. And I've contributed. But I can't contribute more because my chill alliance already hit all the first week objectives before I joined. So I miss out on all of the bounty missions because they were too active? Had i joined an inactive alliance or had i started a new alliance on my own id be able to participate but since I've joined am active one who overachieved I miss out? That's busted

Oh, was that you, that tried to get someone in forums here to contact your alliance and tell them about your broken phone, and would miss a few days ?

Did anyone actually make contact ? (or did they happen to see that post of yours up here ?)

If so, that sucks that they still choose to have kicked you.

Good suggestion for people here is to know the Forum usernames of some ppl in their alliance, and have a “saved” DM conversation thread up here with them, that you could go back to and DM them again later easier than trying to find their name here again, if something ever happens to your game.

The way it used to work at some point is it would lock you out of rewards that you already claimed so you couldn't double claim rewards or alliance hop for this reason.

I missed out on trophy tokens from bgs because I chose to wait to switch alliances so I could get my raids rewards. Doing so the new alliance finished 8/9 bg alliance milestones, so i missed out on 4-8 which was like 16k tokens and this was the second time since I was trying to find a good fit.

Now the kicker goes to OPs point, I was able to claim the 9 million milestone and we have put up 10 more million so doubling up points needed so technically if there was a lock like op mentions I'd still get those rewards but kabam uses an old system/rule thats out of touch with current events.

Having 20+ days left and being locked out because you weren't in the new alliance days 1 or day 5 is dumb. There are no easy transition windows to switching alliances anymore. That's the bigger problem
