Shuri AAR Immune vs Glance

So I was using Shuri against Storm X in GC, I thought that after my SP1, I would be able to crits Storm X with my basic hit.

However this didn't happened.

Could someone explain to me Glance and how it would interact with AAR Immunity. Many thanks for any insight 😊

    I guess that would make sense. I was able to do a few crits on her, but I guess that must be during the small window after knocking her down.

    Glanced hits just don't crit. (Only 1 case I know where it happens otherwise)

    Good to note that StormX after a knock down in her lightening tempest, she reduces the potency of all shock effects by 100%

    yeah Shuri will still trigger shock on glanced hits, but they won’t crit and the hit damage will be reduced. Also as BigBlueOx mentioned any shocks applied while lightning tempest is active will have -100% potency which usually means they’ll deal 0 damage, unless you have something like the Hulkbuster relic boosting the potency.

    So the next question would then be, who is a good counter for Storm X since she Glanced crits hits.

    Lady d or omega sent both have different debuffs and not shocks

    Omega Sentinel is usually very good, big damage with the plasmas; if you’re specifically in the BG crit meta she’s less good, there aren’t any straight ‘bypass glance’ options other than Beta Ray IIRC but any power drain will shut down her tempests so that’s an option

    nimgod in general, any power drain will shut her modes and there's no glance.
