Just completed Act 5, need advice on rankup.

I just finished exploring act 5 and the rewards were great, but now I find myself in a conundrum: do I keep ranking up some particularly strong 5 star or focus on 6 starts only?
These are the results of a couple of months of grinding, what should I do?

I’d focus on 6*. You get them a lot more frequently than you used to. If there is someone you really end up needing then you can take up a 5* version but if you don’t need someone specific for a boss or path then I’d focus on 6* going forward.

Fair enough, from now on 6 stars are necessary, but, from the list of characters you see, is there anyone worth ranking up by sheer usefulness and strength or?

Medusa will make getting Cavalier very easy. She's also recently buffed and undoubtedly worth the rank up regardless.

medusa is very good. after cav, when 6* AGs bcm an ez thing, awaken kitty, and rank her up too.
On an unrelated note... how do u have a 6* jessica jones?

Focus on 6*s, you already have good ones:
1. Mutant - Kitty Pryde, Bishop and Sinister are all very good. I would try and dupe Kitty to make her even better. Learn Kitty and Sinister's playstyle. They are not plug and play champions.
2. Cosmic - Medusa is recently buffed and quite good. King Groot is amazing but you need to dupe him and put significant signature stones (150<) to take advantage of his regen. If you can do that he heals so fast, you can start a fight at 10% and end it at 100%. Knull and Corvus has its fans, i would test them before ranking.
3. Science - run with your scorpion for now. This is the strongest class and you shouls get a few good champs at 6* level soon. Jessica Jones is a solid defender.
4. Tech - Ghost as a 5* will carry you. You can also r3 Lady Deathstrike because she does solod damage and further tanks have diminishing returns.
5. Skill - if you dont want to wait then rank up hit monkey, elsa bloodstone or kate bishop. Kate Bishop is probably best of the three but has a high skill cap and Hit Monkey is the easiest to learn for high damage. I would wait for a 6* though.
6. Mystic - White Tiger, BWCV and Tigra are all good but all require learning. Tigra being the most difficult champion to play correctly in the game. Keep that Sym Supreme to r2 because he will help you with the Medusa boss in Act 6.
