So everyone can agree that THE SERPENT is still being a annoying defender and will be for a while. But what I am interested in more is the lore behind this champion design. Like how dll got approval how did he even pass the champ test team or was he even more broken that we only got a already nerfed version.

KABAM : " Last year we released so many attackers. Now it is time to release great defenders. But we don't want to make him too broken. Let's get a balanced defender who can be countered with enough skill. So what do you say dll? "

Yeah we got a nerfed version, earlier he used to disable all your masteries for the first 30 secs of the fight and immune to power steal and atrophy

I heard in an earlier version the recoil mastery caused Serpent to gain 5% health rather than lose it.
