Masters alliances, including CCP alliances like DSVG/SSX/4LOki, among others like XK9, GT40, are abusing the system to get easier wins for masters. Unintended or not, this is abuse.
What are those alliances supposed to do? Waste items on a war that doesn’t count? Would be irresponsible and dumb to waste items just to deliberately sabotage your alliance.
probably do what LVt did? They took it seriously and didnt tank. It seems to was known in higher circles that Leaderboard plays a part in matchmaking. Are you asking for an excuse not to abuse the system?

This is something that prolly needs to be addressed publicly….as the integrity of AW could very well be seen as compromised due to the actions of those alliances mentioned.

When you knowingly do it to abuse matchmaking, and then say that integrity is only if all alliances tried, it's akin to cheating. What makes you different from someone who mods and says that it's just cuz others are also there who do it?

Personally the situation couldve been handled better. Daniel is right though. Its a waste to plan when you know war wont count on the other hand its not right for alliances to tank. In other words this is just an example or poor matchmaking and if this situation wanted to be avoided. They shouldnt have told players it wouldnt count till after the war itself ended.

If nothing else this whole situation has brought to light how broken the matchmaking system is outside what I'd call "happy path". It works fine to match based on the leader board if everyone is trying their hardest and scoring optimal points for a win or loss. That doesn't work when you discount an entire war and don't even bother with an in game message about it.

Maybe we can also stop seeing the posts telling people war matchmaking is based on war rating. I mean it is in that happy path scenario but obviously a more accurate description is it's heavily weighted on the leader board.

This situation just results in a whole lot more alliances getting to experience the joy of playing war on the tier 1 map with a tier 2 multiplier than just the ones on the bubble.

The issue is the fact that alliances like yours have the chance to match weaker alliances and ruin their season.
Doing this and getting a matchup we'll below yours might be fine for you, but the opposing alliance if they're in T2 gets pretty much an immediate loss and that too with a T2 Multiplier, affecting their season.

If they take a break, they get lesser rewards for a season, and even when pushing the next season, they get lesser rewards. All while facing alliances at a T2 MULTIPLIER. Note that both alliances then have a T2 Multiplier

This is the opposite of what happens. The big benefit to tanking a season is that next season becomes WAY easier to get podium, because you get around 5-6 free wins. This hurts those weaker alliances because they are essentially facing a top 5-10 alliance in war 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 because of lower war rating. Obviously kabam should just not count the points when these wars get canceled, and it’s not the alliances responsibility to police it. Every alliance should do what is in their own best interest as long as it’s within the rules.

Way too much focus on the choices of a few alliances, not enough attention on the fact that Kabam underestimated the impact of their test, didn’t have any process to mitigate the issue with AW and didn’t communicate effectively when they had the chance. 95% of the blame should be assigned to Kabam…

He explains it very well. This season is worth nothing. P1 alliances chilling in Top 10 because they played the 4th war and masters alliances chilling deep in P1 because they didn'tplay 4th war. There are masters alliances that can reach top 10 or even 1-3 without playing against a single masters alliance. This is a joke. If nefti loses one war then Chaos alliance will be #1 automatically without playing against a masters alliance. Ridiculous.

We are happy about alliances that will reach top 1-10 while playing against P1 alliances only. The Top alliances doesn't even have the chance to defend their titles because they won't match the abusers😂 Good job and thank you Kabam. Thank you for the thousands of units I spent on this season. This comes from a Nefti player. I will quit the game.

I also thank you in the name of all P1 and P2 alliances that got completely destroyed by masters alliances this season
