OG Iron Man > Infamous Iron Man?

Looking at IIM’s kit, just makes me wonder if OGIM’s buff made IIM much less relevant. I guess the difference is energy damage vs physical? Thoughts? It just seems like if you have one, it makes the other one not needed.

    both don't have very similar kits.
    OGIM's kit, is pure damage, with sm prowess removal.
    IIM's kit is damage through power burn.

    I agree they have different utility, I think Superior Ironman and OG Iron man are actually more similar. Both build up a bunch of armor/buffs and then ramp up to some massive damage using armor breaks.

    Og Ironman just have insane damage in all situations thanks to his armor breaks and is also quick, also doesn't require AI manipulation, in fact you just play normally and do damage, bonus points if you can parry the specials constantly, skill rewarding.

    IronDoom just need lots of block holding and praying enemy don't throw specials, but he has his uses.

    Iron Man OG is an awesome bishop counter. 1 armor up grants incinerate immunity. You can just go to town and not worry about anything

    OG Iron Man is a beast. My 6* is max sig, ascended, the works. MVP of the Bahamat fight. Just destroys mutants if they have prowess and even if they don’t. Total rockstar.

    Maybe I'm in the minority, but wouldn't it be beneficial to have multiple counters for bishop? Especially in bgs where they could simply ban your one counter and your toast?

    Except you can literally use anyone to counter bishop. Just don't deal shock incinerate damage and dex his sp2.

    Infamous ironman is known for prowess removal, which only nimrod did reliably before him, but nimrod doesn't work for bishop/shock immune champs.

    Irondoom was made to counter bishop but for some reason he still had shock dot so he can't counter upcoming champs like onslaught.

    Then Ironman came, who countered bishop even better, and doesn't really depend on any dot effect for damage. also ironman had psuedo immunity for nullify and neutralize effects, and had multiple armor buffs unlike irondoom, so he can take armor break heavy matchups (like crumbling armor). He also had some kind of aar protection so can take domino as well.

    We also got champs like FAM, shocker and ironheart, who counter bishop and do a lot other things, so irondoom is not as valuable as he used to be.
