First look at Dazzler and Spiral

They are finally here (it's not even November yet) and both look amazing. Thoughts?

So they said spiral can do things to bring out her Sais which can be used offensively and defensively, I think she'll be a good 2 way champion and I think her Sais would be something like terraxs rock shields which do damage to you when close to her.

Also for dazzler, she has a mechanic where you perform actions as long as they're on beat which gives you special benefits. I hope these benefits are worth it and she's a great attacker. Maybe she has to be played a certain way that's why that guy couldn't access her damage properly.

I hope they've learned from spider punk and these "ON BEAT" actions are worth it cos we can't have another champion that requires another in-game mechanic just for minimal damage and benefits. Let's hope she turns out well.

This mechanic sound like Kate and Bullseye hold and release during special, SPunk and Enchantress up down and sideways. But I do hope is more similar to Viv's sp, a simple click on the screen. SPunks are bs to me

I imagine it'll be more like spacing out her basic combos so it's done to a specific rhythm

That's EXACTLY the type of utility that should come with the sig ability.
"IN MY OPINION", Sig abilities should be used as a means to UNLOCK an extra type of utility absent from the base kit or make accessing something in their base kit easier.
Eg, silk, the slow IS VERY USEFUL and nice to have however is not needed for EVERY fight, and the Regen reversal is also another useful utility. However, she does not need the awakening to get her damage

Sig abilities should access some type of utility that is not needed for EVERY FIGHT but useful for some. Or it should basically make a champion viable for certain fights that they may not be viable for with their base kit alone.

Eg cheeilth awakening let's her take bleed immune champs. Her main damage is through bleeds and she does not require awakening to get her damage as everything is in her kit already. However, the sig abilities exposes her to a range of other matchups like THING etc where her grit passive may also come in handy. Sure she's not the number 1 option for bleed immunes but if you're in a quest with LIMITED options and you're already bringing her in for bleedable opponents the awakening makes sure she can also take on the bleed immunes

It should never be used as a mean of getting damage, nothing related to a champions damage should be locked behind the sig ability or any type of utility that is NECESSARY for the main rotation of a champion should be locked behind it. It can also be used as a means of safeguard and protection.

Eg buffed Medusa, she no longer has her furies locked behind the sig instead it is now used as a mean to save yourself when you get hit by auto blocking. Also beta ray bill reduces damage when you try that special intercept. Also kitty pryde takes no damage when she's phased from awakening.

I think kabam has started to realize this now with the release of the new champions because they know 7* awakenings are very rare to acquire so they don't design the new champs as MUST HAVE SIGS like Nick fury etc.

In dazzlers case her sig ability should be exactly that as it's useful for when you are fighting a defender who reflects damage so ITS NOT NECESSARY for ALL FIGHTS but nice to have in those circumstances where you may take on those reflective defenders. Good job kabam

When it's champs that are made for HARD COUNTERING other champs then it is definitely a bad idea for making them take their IDEAL matchups only awakened.

Eg Dani moonstar is TERRIBLE against Nick fury unduped and even with the dupe she has to get lucky to take him. She shouldn't have to rely on awakening to do what she was advertised for same as patriot

Yeah I hope they take a look at this during his rebalancing. I’m ok with Dazzler having that ability as her dupe as long as the rest of her kit is good

Hol up, I just saw Enchantress taking dazzlers sp3 in the video. Maybe dazzler will also reflect Enchantress sp1 damage reflection back to enchantress. This would make a lil sense for her to be a counter since they both have history.
