Are there Necro Knull counters that can handle multiple fights?

I recently did my first right side run of Necropolis. Far from perfect but I was happy enough with how it went, except for Knull. Couldn’t afford a team slot for a counter and went in with 7* r1 Chavez hoping she’d do good enough, and he was almost a quarter of my total revive usage in the run (9/40). I’d like to avoid that and bring a counter for my remaining runs, but I really don’t want to use up a precious team slot on a champ like Abs man or Wiccan who only handles Knull and nothing else (Wiccan does phase 4 GM I guess but that’s whatever). Is there any other options I could use that aren’t benchwarmers for most of the run, even if it’s just 1 or 2 extra fights?

And yes, I know Aegon can do it. I also hate using Aegon and don’t want to rank him up just for 1 or 2 Necro runs. If it comes down to use Aegon or eat dirt against Knull I’ll genuinely take the latter option. I just want to know if there’s other choices before I get my spoon out and dig in.

im assuming you brought kate since you had chavez, she can do it in 1/2 rev, possibly even a solo but it requires the ai cooperating an extreme amount so I wouldnt expect it, you just have to pray the ai lets you push to sp2s without taking too many blocked hits
Like u mentioned wiccan, but he can also do path 4 galan, and phase 3 gm too if u can play on 1 health so i wouldnt consider him a complete benchwarmer
wong can also technically do it, but its very all or nothing because its a health race to ramp him against knull cause hes kinda finicky

Wong. He can also solo Squirrel Girl, Spidey99, and Shocker

what about doom i used him for the silver centurion fight and he can come in handy for several other fights too including knull.

doom really makes the silver cent fight super easy.

Doom is not the best against knull cuz you don't wanna parry him.

Aegon works best against knull just don't block and try to push him to sp2 always with relic.

You can bring wiccan for path 4 he can handle both galan and knull.

I did 100% necropolis when it came out in November and don’t remember him being a huge issue with Aegon. Aegon is too crazy

Abs man is surprisingly great for necropolis. His healing makes it so you can just use a small revive and not have to use any health pots. Plus his sp3 gives him some great ramp damage.

Knull is unfortunately such a bad fight design that simply getting Abs man just for him is so worth it. Did it with 2 revives in my previous run. You can block all his hits, push him to SP2 and simply heal all the damage while putting a ton of vulnerabilities on him and deal insane damage.

Appreciate the responses. Wong’s an interesting shout, I have him as a duped 7* and I’m comfortable using him but just never found the space to bring him in my previous runs, if he can handle Knull I’m willing to finally drag him out.

@HungaryHippo @victor158 you mind elaborating a little more on Kate? I did indeed have her on my last run (why else would I have Chavez) but I never even bothered trying her. I figured Knull’s true accuracy preventing evade and Kate’s need to land heavies to refresh her trick arrows would mean quickly dying to the necrotic boon damage, and the fact that the opponent almost always responds to being knocked down into the wall with an immediate sp1 didn’t sound fun either with Knull’s corruption. I’m almost certainly bringing Kate for my other runs anyways so if she does good enough I’ll just use her.

The trick in that fight is to trigger Kate's evade via parrying a light. Find you openings in other ways and don't worry too much about refreshing the arrows if it doesn't line up.

For Shocker, parry then immediately throw a light to get close enough to heavy. Throw the SP1 as soon as the first hit of the heavy connects so you have enough time to land the arrow before the crushed ends.

Wong can pretty much solo every fight with a full yellow bar.

exactly this. dont bother with the fragilities and just go as hard as possible in the corner... like hippo said, knull's true accuracy is only on this mediums/heavies so if you parry a light youll still evade, and the key thing being that when defenders are in the corner and you're next to them they will almost always do light attacks instead of mediums

Thanks for the Kate advice. Gonna be a bit before I scrounge up the revives/potions to do my next run, but I’m thinking I’ll try my next run with Kate and Wong. If Kate works out, great I don’t have to worry about bringing a dedicated counter for my last go. If I can’t get her to work, I can try out Wong and see if he does better. If it still goes badly, then I’ll know to just suck it up and bring Abs man or something next time.

I just completed Necro Titania path with Kate and Wong. Kate against Titania and Cpt Amer sam + Wong taking rest of the champs.

My questions is, does wong do same great support for other paths ? I have never used aegon and dont want to learn new tactic again for just the sake of necro, unless wong isn't useful for other paths.
