Just add a confirm button, such a small thing to add to avoid such issues. Many threads asking for same. Please Kabam.
But we dont just be mindful of dont tap until it shows i havent bought anything by accident as theres literally an x to close of the offer and the prices are big enough to not make this mistake
It’s like saying since you have never really been in a road traffic accident, all the ones that are accidents are probably deliberate. People do make mistakes. Just because you are extra cautious about pressing buttons, why do you assume others never make a mistake? My crystal tab once lagged so bad that it wouldn’t even scroll and I had to swipe up multiple times for it to even move. Guess what? I saw I had purchased 10 cavalier crystals because of this. Support refunded the 3k units but point is that mistakes do happen.
But thats because u didnt open this post is saying they opened the accidental purchase which btw as opened u cant refund hence why it cant be a accident as if was u would go straight to support
You replied to person asking for a confirm button saying it’s never happened to you and you just have to be mindful of where you tap. My response was directed at that. I am not saying anything about refund once crystals are opened.
And i replied to ur one that said u bought cavs for 3k units in the crystal store and u even said support refunded which i replied saying because u didnt open but the dude did its different
10 free Paragon crystals,..how would they appear out of nowhere?,..hmm i wonder. No reason to quit the game though,..sounds more like he took the deal and didn’t like what he got tbh.

You are arguing 2 dif things on the same issue. The button would be nice regardless of what happened to the guy mentioned in this post.
I believe they don't have the tech to reverse crystal openings.
At the very least they could remove those 20 sigs from gamora, and refund his purchase or refund like 90%. We all know the many times over the years players abused bugs to get large amounts of free rewards that were never taken back. Hell, they could take those entire champs he opened from the paragons, the 5 and 6 stars and he probably wouldn't even care as long he he got his 9500 units back.
To revert they need everything still their once u use any of the stuff from bundle u can no longer be refunded
I know, just saying it's a bad policy.
As someone who works 2 jobs in retail, it's people with your attitude that we despise the most. People like you think policies shouldn't apply to you and get angry when you can't have your way.

Its a purchase of ingame currency worth over 300 bucks... A button asking to confirm would be nice...
If nothing else, Kabam NEEDS to change these pop-ups or how you're able to buy them. On any pop-up offer that launches with the game, or as you're playing it, there needs to be a confirm button on these.
Because I was one of the seemingly MANY people this happened to. The buy offer is also EXACTLY where the "READY" button is on the Home Screen for the crystals. The whole thing happened before I had any idea what I had done. Luckily I did catch a moment of the screen saying I somehow bought something, so I just didn't touch the game until I contacted support. But with the way it happened I could see many more cases where someone accidentally did it and didn't notice.
Also the policy is bad because it's painfully obvious this was a mistake. He never buys paragons. If you think he decided out of the blue to buy 10 paragons, but instead of spending 2k units he would actually spend close to 10k units for them and then hope to get a refund, then that doesn't pass the smell test pal
If it became policy that such purchases could be reversed, then it would become commonplace for players to buy them, open the Paragons, then reverse the policy if they didn't get lucky.
Even now there are players who say if you don't like something Kabam does, just go reverse all your recent purchases even though that is technically illegal, as it is fraud. There's no question in my mind that if players had the ability to reverse purchases that included random crystals, they would be using the refund system as a way to game the system. They probably would think they deserved the ability to that anyway, as of course they always deserve more than random crystals generate. They would probably see themselves as heroes to the cause.
The policy of reversing purchases if you do not use anything makes sense: at that moment the reversal is completely neutral. You did not get anything yet, so there's no way to exploit the refund system. But if you're allowed to open crystals first and then ask for refunds you did get something: you got perfect information on what your crystals would have generated.
You only think this is all obvious because you think you know the player in question. Customer support has no such ability to judge refunds based on perceived character. And they also do not share your opinion on what "passes the smell test" because they see all the support tickets. I myself only see a minute fraction of all the crazy stuff that players do and attempt to do, and I will tell you from direct experience if you think what your alliance mate did could not possibly have been done deliberately, you have no idea what actually *has* been done or attempted to be done deliberately. It could very well be an honest mistake, but it doesn't even score a two on the player decision weird-o-meter.
I don't think it's obvious because I know him. I think it's obvious because of the circumstances. He has a sig 60 gamora. If he wanted to buy 10 paragons and open them and get a refund, he'd buy them for 2k units and not 9500. That's how it's painfully obvious. He'd have no reason to spend 9500 units and then hope to get a refund. The circumstances matter. Even if I didn't know him itd be pretty obvious this wasn't an attempt to get 10 free 5* champs.
Just add a confirm button, such a small thing to add to avoid such issues. Many threads asking for same. Please Kabam.
But we dont just be mindful of dont tap until it shows i havent bought anything by accident as theres literally an x to close of the offer and the prices are big enough to not make this mistake
The pop up is effin delayed when you login and you see your 4 hour crystal to claim and you go ahead to tap on it.
It really isnt the animation shows in a different spot to the free crystal which isnt anywhere near the gamora bundle or hulk is more to the right and down a bit meaning its no accident
Well I got the hulk doing exactly what I said in my previous comment. I didn't even know what I bought until later when I logged in on my main and saw what it was.
As people said he could have got it refunded if he didnt open be mindful when opening than just randomly opening stuff as also if u saw 10k units missing u would know somethings up and would go straight to support
Correct and that's what he did. As soon as he noticed his 10k units missing he contacted support. And they told him they're missing because of the gamora offer he bought the day before. Which he didn't remember doing so he assumes it was an accidental purchase he didn't even notice.
I agree with the other guy said something about thinking he was hacked and opening yhe crystals, if you think you got hacked the last thing you would do is say hey look im gonna open this... The argument of a confirmatuon on purchase is totally valid, nothing wrong with asking for that feature in the future. The reason for asking might be questionable.
The timeline is important here. He was opening the paragons when he had not yet noticed he was missing units. He thought the paragons were just unopened paragons he had collected. He didn't connect them to an accidental purchase that at that point he knew nothing about. It wasn't on his radar. Later when he noticed his 10k units missing he contacted support immediately and they told him he had bought the gamora offer. Which he didn't do on purpose clearly since he didn't even remember it happening.
I believe they don't have the tech to reverse crystal openings.
At the very least they could remove those 20 sigs from gamora, and refund his purchase or refund like 90%. Dude, there's really no reason to be this nasty over this.
While I respect you and what you do for the community as a whole, I disagree.
I agree there should be a confirmation button but that's not what the post is about at it's core. There's so much about this story that isn't mathing. If you don't open paragon crystals ever and you suddenly have 10, you don't ask questions? If it's taken a year+ to collect 9500 units and you don't see them when you login, you don't freak out?
The policy of not returning purchases once used, as we've stated, is there for a good reason. The policy isn't bad. The way popup offers get presented on most occasions are, which also dates back to when we had offers like 4* crystals for 2500 units that people bought or those catalysts bundles for like 90 units. It's been something we've wanted for 10 years and I wholeheartedly agree.
But demanding policies be changed because of something like this doesn't sit right with me.
Because he didn't login for a couple days. And if you think he spent 9500 units for a sig 60 gamora to open 10 paragons then I don't know what to tell you. 10 paragons cost 2k. Makes no sense what you're saying pal
Neither does your math. Your original comment states he noticed he was missing "about" 10k units. 9500+2000 is 11500. That's not "about" 10k.
How did they login, get the offer, watch the animations happening from the purchase, go on about their day and come back, buy 10 Paragon crystals and then notice.. that's a lot of buying and not noticing.
It's only a bad policy if it goes against you. They have to be able to take everything back. If you used it, they can't take it back.
Tons of places have these policies. As someone who works 2 jobs in retail, it's people with your attitude that we despise the most. People like you think policies shouldn't apply to you and get angry when you can't have your way.
Get over it.
It's a bad policy either way. I don't expect anything will happen, just hoping in the future kabam can add a confirmation dialogue after a large purchase to be sure you're not mistakenly buying something you don't want.
It's not a bad policy. They do it to keep people from opening crystals, not liking the results and then claiming it was an accidental purchase.
There really isn't an excuse for him opening the paragons. The crystals you get for the calendar are under the shards tab. These would be on the first crystals tab.
It doesn't make sense to not realize that you have 10 crystals that you didn't have before.
Of course it makes sense. There’s rewards all over the place: objectives , milestones, emails , crystals that reward crystals and various stores. Do you keep an inventory of every single crystal you have ?
Pop up offers that appear immediately when you login, and have buy buttons right in the middle of the page, are a terrible design & there’s no pop up confirmation that you’re about to spend 9500 units or make an in game purchase.
There’s been other threads from people who unknowingly bought these packages. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes… try empathy for once.
It's not a terrible design. The X to leave the screen is nowhere near the button to purchase. I understand mistakes can happen, and we're all human, but there's a stretch between the purchase button and the option to leave the screen.
Just add a confirm button, such a small thing to add to avoid such issues. Many threads asking for same. Please Kabam.
But we dont just be mindful of dont tap until it shows i havent bought anything by accident as theres literally an x to close of the offer and the prices are big enough to not make this mistake

For a name bendy you are kinda not flexible at all lol. Op opened the crystals that's another issue, but you still can tap on random offers by accident. Sure you haven't made this mistake yet, But there are people every month making unintentional offer purchases. We can't put everyone in the same basket.
Opening crystals by mistakes can also happen which in this case looks like what happened. And I'm not questioning the policy either, as it's same for every other game. But mistakes do happen.
OPs ally mate opened the crystals so it's Joever. Support can only help with the things they are allowed to. I agree situational awareness is lacking in this particular case, but theres no evil plan behind a 9500 units sig 80 gamora.
It's only a bad policy if it goes against you. They have to be able to take everything back. If you used it, they can't take it back.

This isn't about whether he bought the package. This is about him opening the 10 Paragon crystals.
The reason why support won't refund the purchase is because they opened the crystals. This policy has been in place for as long as I can remember.
You love to attack me. I get it. But try and keep up with the conversation. Try and have some reading comprehension for once.
I understand why they didn’t refund but I also understand how easy it was to make an accidental purchase considering the “trap” design as @SirGamesBond put it.
If you feel attacked maybe you should re read my comment. Nothing personal in my previous message. If that’s how you feel , that’s on you and maybe you should seek therapy.
Exact same thing happened to me a few days ago but I was lucky enough that I didn't open any crystals and they reversed it. I totally understand how he must be feeling, Kabam needs to have a confirmation button for these deals.

Kabam really does need to put a confirm button there. For their own safety. It is similar with what Fortnite just went through and they are paying back $245 million to players because of it. It's not quite the same but the Fortnite thing opens precedent and it could soon become an issue for them.
I believe they don't have the tech to reverse crystal openings.

Not everyone is as observant as us. For all we know, the player could be a bit on the older side.
For the 10 random Paragons, I honestly can say that there's a decent chance I would've just assumed they were from random Quest. I definitely would've noticed the Units being missing, but that's just me.
