Is Stark Spidey still worth it in 2024?

Just pulled a 6* Stark Spidey, and I’m debating whether to rank him up and use an awakening gem. He was my first 5* back in the day, and I loved using him, but the game has changed a lot since his release 7 years ago.

Is he still viable for current content like Battlegrounds, AW attack, or other endgame content? How important is his awakened ability? I’m tempted to rank him for nostalgia, but I’d appreciate your advice before committing. Thanks!

    So, I'm biased because my first maxed out 6* was Starky. While he's a bit squishy, ascending him will help out with that. For me he's the best Spidey in the game, and also the one who feels the most fluid to play.

    In BG, although you need to build up his charges.the damage output can be incredible and more than make up for the 10-15 seconds getting some charges on him. Throw in Heavy to drain the defender's power and you're halfway there.

    Hulkbuster relic is good for his SP2, but I've heard that Green Goblin relic can be good with him too.

    I’m ranking all the old champs. OG Witch, OG Thor, Iceman, and Blade when I finally get him.

    Absolutely. He was one of my first 5 stars so I got used to using him ever since.

    Yes he’s a bit squishy but I like champs that rely on player skill and not gimmicks to be strong….

    Short answer: Yes.

    Long answer: Good in battlegrounds. Good in AW. Good in general questing too. Awakening is just so much nicer.

    Lemme throw in my opinion.
    I know nobody asked.
    My 6* starky 99.9% gonna stay r4 forever.
    Because there's a 7*. Mines unduped but I'll get the gem to awaken him someday.
    His sig is very important.
    For a 6*, Sig 20 works. Sig 60 is optimal and more than enough.

    But he is locked behind a difficult content. It's better to r5 a 6* if you aren't getting the 7*.
