Is Ronan still relevant?

After what feels like years of hunting this guy as a 6*, I finally got him! I can easily sig 200 him as well, but is he still relevant? BG’s, questing, alliance war, synergies etc, I’d love to invest in him but if he isn’t gonna be worth it I may just wait and see if I can pull better cosmics.

not really anymore. He can obv be used in some cheese fights, but as whole, he's quite irrelevant.

Ronan can cheese 1-2 Crucible fights. Every now and then there might be an SOS-style boss that you can cheese with Ronan for completion (but usually not objective). But an ascended 5* is usually more than sufficient, I have not encountered a situation where I needed the 6* over the 5*.

he’s not good for general use, but in the right matchups he can just stunlock a buff-heavy opponent to death.

yup, he’s gonna get used, they’ll still put the “defender is gonna gain a billion buffs” nodes from time to time. at that point, you DON’T usually need him ranked, but higher sig is much better.

Took my 6-star Ronan to R4, sig 200. He is a great cheese options for some fights and if I am using him for those fights, I don't want to spend 15+ minutes going back and forth on a stun locked opponent with 5-star or 6R1/6R2 Ronan. I'd rather finish the fight in under 5 minutes with a 6R4.

He's very niche, whenever there is a boss with lots of/escalating buff counts he can be used to stun lock and cheese the fight

He's niche; but in some ways actually gaining relevance: there are many champs/situations where a champion is going to end up with lots of buffs; and Kabam gives them immunity to Nullify, Fate Seal and AAR.

Ronan often makes a great option in these situations.

There is every reason to assemble a full team of cheese options: Ronan, iHulk, Galan, AA, Red Mags, Maw, etc.

Will you use them all the time? Nope. Hit when they shine, they shine so brightly there’s no way you’d choose another option.

He was never relevant. He's a niche champ who works better than anyone for the matchups ye does.

I used him for Dani in the previous Side quest. She had that Prowess buff every 2 seconds after getting SP2 node, so yeah. Not much used, but does his job well where he's probably the only one I could think of in those situations.

Nearly 300 champs in the game, every champ has their best fights to use and not to use. Out of all the champs in the game, how many do you use regularly?

He’s relevant in the specific niche fights he can cheese. For every other fight, there’s probably 150-200 better options.

If you still have act content to complete and you can easily spare the Sig stones, Sig him up. He can usually cheese at least one path per act and a couple of the bosses.

I wouldnt say hes not useful or useful but when hes used he normally never dies in the fights hes made for but id put him in middle since hes niche where he still gets uses
