Am I the only one not enamored with this side quest?

So we get mysterium and that’s it. Sure there are no nodes, but you are probably forcing rank ups for say…iceman and mephisto … cause your real counters are banned due to the year. I can’t remember having to burn rank up resources as a valiant for a side quest. And that might be fun… if there was a payoff. Traders outpost isn’t that.

Clue me in on how this is better? I am hitting the weekly objective just grinding arena milestones and never touching SQ.

2016 and 2017 years are just the worst, only 1 rankup in 2017 being archangel and 7* mordo carried 2016, insanely tedious, one mistake and gg.

And I agree, all that for mysterium that too just 7.5k is kinda meh, seemed like fun before tho

Why you have to force rank if you're valiant+ player?
Almost every one has a r5 kingpin for icemen, and even if you don't have him ranked up, even a 6* r1 is enough with hood synergy. Or you could use iceman or meph 6* r1

Similarly a 6* r1 mephisto, icemen or blade with sparky synergy can destroy mephisto.

The quests are really fun, but I agree there should be some completion and exploration rewards too.

I like the simplicity, if not the rewards. Mysterium is wack, because the traders outpost is wack. The gold is nice, the seven star shard bundle is fine. Otherwise I end up buying stuff I really don’t care about in order to stay under the 50K cap.

I like it. It’s very Simple, with only the year as a limit. I’d much Rather have this than the ridiculous hassle of chasing tokens to open another token, to claim another token in a task, then do the fight, etc..

This is a “you fight or you don’t”. Previous one I had no idea sometimes if I’d missed something and didn’t get full rewards, even if I actually did want to do all the fights..

This one… do you want to fight? Yes .. get rewards….no don’t get rewards.

While I don’t have a big issue with the SQ, it feels very much like filler before we get the end of year BF/CM deals and Banquet. It seems as if the team just put together a decently rewarding but low effort quest to occupy space until then.

All fine, but nothing special.

Like I said, I am knocking that out just autofilling champs in arena and getting units there as well.

If Trader's Outpost had higher cap, it would be nice. This way I am sitting with capped Mysterium, full stash of T6B/T3A (so I can't buy more) and therefore unable to play the EQ.

That's all well and fine but there are plenty of people who never touch arena. Ever. And rightfully so. The side quest give those others somewhere to get that stuff done. Remember, the game ain't just about you.

Joke was on me though, I used 6* Voodoo almost exclusively.

For those without a cache of 7*s I can see why the rewards don't match the effort. If the offerings were t4a/titan shards there would be a more positive response I suspect.

2016 quest has Hyperion in one of it's path i believe. Even if I somehow manage to bait out all the specials, the block damage is considerably high. Yes I could use just any 7* and beat it through this no node quest. But no Im not ranking up anyone just for this quest, given how the mysterium doesn't get me anything fabulous.

2017 has Kingpin in a path. As if I enjoyed fighting him in the first place, this guy just won't throw specials and I literally have no unstoppable counter.

I don't mind it. It was slow but chill.
There were not many fights to pay attention to. It was mostly straight forward.
From what it looks, overcomplication is directly proportional to the rewards and not to the difficulty.

To be honest, I'm bored with Mysterium in general. Once a month there's a big ticket item, and some 6* Shards and Cat Mats the rest of the month. It's nice to have the Cats, but it's become lackluster for me.

I still say it's cruddy there's only one difficulty level for all progression levels, but a simple straight forward side quest is welcome in itself. SQ is exactly that, a SIDE QUEST, it shouldn't require so much freaking effort that some do. Just make a quest with some minimal challenge to it of, say, you can only use Avengers or X-Men or Spider-people, and leave it at that. Not do this, check in for that calendar to do this to be able to get rewards.

I think year gates are lots of fun. It reminds me of the Variant days, just without all the difficulty. I like seeing the difference in my teams in the different years. The only part that doesn’t interest me is that the only reward for it Mysterium and that currency has lost luster over the year. It’s not useless for me, but it’s not exciting.

I also wish it had some nodes to make it a bit more interesting, but I understand why they don’t so that the roster limitations are more accessible for players with younger rosters.

Haven't found a great need for any of what's in the store other than 7* shards. The quest itself isn't too bad, 2016 is the only sucky year for my account and I've kinda enjoyed using some teams I wouldn't use for anything else.

As a nostalgia thing, I mightve liked to use up to the year instead of only that year which would make it a bit kinder to everyone and still limit to the champs that were available at the time.

Mysterium store needs a proper update to make these quests worth doing though.

I think the years thing works because of all the buffs, it woulda been brutal without those.

It is dull though, I woulda been fine with a few other twists and turns. Maybe a stroll through memory lane with simple nodes like masochism, bane, buffet with slightly smaller healthpools to allow for that instead. Nodes we have to play around with skill and aren’t road blocks.

The Side Quest for this month is sooo Frustrating.... No Value for Effort Rewards.... Atleast have some Path Rewards other than those Mysterium...or Decrease the Difficulty....
Forced to Rank Up and Level Up champs that we may not be useful in Future, Unless you guys come up with a boring quest like these

This side quest at least for me is quite boring, having to do simple no nodes fights for just mysterium is definitely not exciting, there's no real difficulty and since it's easy I understand path rewards can't be good but I'm getting annoyed with this mysterium thing with no buff to the trader's outpost. This store has been the same since the start and has never even been great from the start. With the amount of mysterium you get weekly you can get things that are worth like 10k bg token lol, that's not impressive at all and I doubt anyone is excited when the store refreshes.

I didn't find it boring or anything, until I found out how bad my 2017 roster was 😂 just treat the fights like a ROL winter soldier. The health pools aren't crazy, just try and have some fun with the champs you have.

Didn’t realise my 2017 roster was this bad. If it wasn’t for my recent two 7* pulls in Red Skull and Frost, my 2018 team would’ve been Bishop and IMIW 😭
