(2) Your implication with your Title is that Kabam was in serious talks about how to proceed with removing the Pause button. (which, again, would have been almost 2 years ago, much earlier in the life of BG, versus currently). Compared to Kabam's actual comments in that clip appearing to be just a passing reference that they had a *DISCUSSION* about it, but the tone of that does NOT sound like they gave it more than just casual discussion about if they should even proceed to investigate it in more depth.
Even though the words themselves may look like they are saying the same thing, I would contend the meaning behind how they are worded indicates quite a different level from one another.
Besides for your implication that they are maybe still in discussion about how to remove the Pause from BG. (again, especially because of the JUST FOUND)

They were not talking about pausing at the beginning of the match. No one from the game team will give this thread a second thought. It's all over the place, no real workable solution was given. Pausing isn't something that is happening as often because of the changes to the win/loss for medals.
More people just exit the match instead of wasting time pausing.

The pause button oh boy how great is that guys?... You can sip on your favorite drink if you get thirsty, if you have to scratch a part of hour body, even look for a tissue if you have to sneeze. Even better if you see a small account you want to put to the test you can pause and see if they can kill your defender or not. Thank you Kabam for this great pause feature!!

Homie, they meant pausing if you felt like you were going to lose the match. As in you took a 5 hit combo so you're trying to preserve what's left of your health. Or pausing because the defender is about to launch an SP3.
They were not talking about pausing at the beginning of the match. No one from the game team will give this thread a second thought. It's all over the place, no real workable solution was given. Pausing isn't something that is happening as often because of the changes to the win/loss for medals.
More people just exit the match instead of wasting time pausing.

Any strategy short of using mods / hacks should not be frowned upon or considered unsportsmanlike. If someone wants to pause, let them pause. If you can't beat them still, then you can pause your game too. Anything short of cheating should be on the table to win.

Ok… but no. Using QoL features to avoid a fight is unsportsmanlike and deserves frowning upon.
Just like someone who always takes from the “take a penny/leave a penny” tray but never leaves one isn’t technically stealing but is still a cheap skate.

And am I remembering correctly that English is not your primary language ?? (could be wrong, and sorry if so, but that is my recollection)
(2) Your implication with your Title is that Kabam was in serious talks about how to proceed with removing the Pause button. (which, again, would have been almost 2 years ago, much earlier in the life of BG, versus currently).
Compared to Kabam's actual comments in that clip appearing to be just a passing reference that they had a *DISCUSSION* about it, but the tone of that does NOT sound like they gave it more than just casual discussion about if they should even proceed to investigate it in more depth.
Even though the words themselves may look like they are saying the same thing, I would contend the meaning behind how they are worded indicates quite a different level from one another.
Besides for your implication that they are maybe still in discussion about how to remove the Pause from BG. (again, especially because of the JUST FOUND)

However, it comes with its own problems. Notably, navigating how to handle players that would let the game idle in the background instead. Additionally, removing the pause button is a major change to the game infrastructure that could have many knock-on effects.
And they couldnt advance on this issue...
So, this thread comes with a solution to both two situations
- Pause or Game in background
{If} attacker dont move in 20 seconds
{end_fight} {remove_points} {defender_win}
And about my english, really not perfect, but everyone understood.

The pause button oh boy how great is that guys?... You can sip on your favorite drink if you get thirsty, if you have to scratch a part of hour body, even look for a tissue if you have to sneeze. Even better if you see a small account you want to put to the test you can pause and see if they can kill your defender or not. Thank you Kabam for this great pause feature!!
There is a strong correlation between "those guys" and not much done in the game...
