Rank ups for 8.3.6 Cerastes

Hey everyone, I'm currently at 8.1.3 in Story mode, but I'm planning ahead for 8.3.6, and I need some guidance on which champions to rank up strategically.

My dilemma is between ranking my 7 duped Hyperion to Rank 2 (which was my initial plan), but after watching MCOC NOOB’s video on Venom vs Cerastes, I’m now considering ranking Venom (even though he’s unduped). However, I'm also open to any suggestions if there’s a better champion to take on the Cerastes boss fight.

    Either work, cerastes is very easy
    If you have a scorpion then venom r2 is very beneficial for questing, their duo goes INSANE

    I have a 6* duped Scorpion at rank 3. What benefits are there to team Venom up with Scorpion? Genuine question.

    I wouldn’t rank up venom just was cerastes. If you like hyp and were planning on ranking him up, go ahead and do that.

    You don’t really need any ranks for him. He’s the easiest boss of act 8, I used hulkling on my initial run and will use him for explo.

    1. Venom gets a bit of power every time he gets a new buff from his kit

    2. Scorpion gets a Fury passive for every sting debuff currently on the opponent (insane damage boost because by using this synergy you can avoid his risky rotation(heavy intercept) and simply SP1 spam)

    Also, Scorp doesn't need dupe

    In all seriousness, Cerastes is the easiest of the act 8 bosses, you don't really need a hard counter to beat him.

    Anyone can do Orochi (i think i butchered her name), just know how to intercept, juggs makes it a piece of cake but I can imagine destroyer can do it due to the unstoppable passive when dashing forward. Glykahn I would recommend Emma Frost, she’s one of the best for Glykahn, mutants make it very cheesy, Bishop, both Storms come to mind, you can probably cheese it with Juggs as well.

    Juggs = Beat the game.

    Glykan is probably the most difficult, but that is mainly due to not being able to damage him unless you are punishing a heavy or special. Once you are hitting him though, as long as you can keep chaining attacks/specials/strikers/ what ever.

    Best for him imo is Storm, who is also probably the best for 9.1 boss. With a power back boost you can just get to sp3 and spam it till fight is over.

    If you want someone for Cerastes specifically, anyone with a high buff count will make the fight much faster. But overall he is a rather easy boss, he can be done with anyone. Just don't forget to add a relic.

    Hardest one is Bahamet since you need a counter or have a really long fight. Glykhan is the trickiest to learn, but Sersi solos him easy if you know what you're doing. Bahamet is the only boss I haven't gotten a solo yet with sersi since that would take forever.
