The Iron Spider: Ability Kit Concept

Class: Tech

Abilities

Nanotech Enhancement – Passive

The Iron Spider suit is infused with Artificially Intelligent Nanotech spider arms, that allow Spidey to Evade incoming basic attacks: as the fight progresses up to 2 minutes, Spider-Man has a 2% to 20% chance to evade incoming contact basic attacks. In Battlegrounds, this ranges from 10% to 20%.
Increasing with the number of Spider-Bots active on him (100% at 50), Spidey has a chance to Evade all hits of a special attack. If a non-contact hit is Evaded, 100% chance to Evade the next hit as well.

Basic combos

3.2.2.2.3 and 3.2.2.2.1 hits from MLLLM and MLLLL respectively
Every 20 hits in his combo meter, his Power Burn potency increases by the base potency. He deals +0.1% of damage dealt by basic hits as Power Burn, stealing 0.025 bar of power with each hit. On defence, this potency increases every 5 hits in either his or his opponent’s combo meter, and activates when the opponent strikes him as well.
(Author’s note:
O-20 hits: no damage dealt
21-40 hits: 0.1% dmg and 0.025 power
41- 60 hits: 0.2% dmg and 0.050 power)

Spider-Bots (Max. 50)

Landing a hit from a medium attack, light or special attack grants 1 Spider-Bot charge. For every 10 Spider Bots on Spider-Man, gain one permanent Fortify Buff, reducing incoming block damage by 12%.
Intercepting the opponent gains 3 Spider-Bots, and Spider-Man gains an Amour buff, increasing Armour Rating by 250 for 8 seconds. (for 6r5a)

Combo Shield

If Peter were to lose his combo, the Stark Tech suit adapts according to the number of Spider-Bots gained.
At 20 charges or above, gain a Combo Shield for 10 seconds when struck below a combo of 50 hits.
At 25 charges or above, gain the same Combo Shield and an Unstoppable Passive for 1.2 seconds.
At 30 charges or above, Auto-Block the attack, and consume 10 charges. If the first hit of a special attack is Auto-Blocked, Auto-Block the entire special attack.

Charging a Heavy Attack

The suit is commanded to consume Spider-Bots at the rate of 1 charge every 0.03 seconds. Each Spider-Bot latches itself onto Spidey’s opponent, stealing 0.035 bar of power for every Spider-Bot consumed. This ability has a 90 second cooldown, removed early on activating a Special Attack 3.
(Author’s note: 50 Spider Charges are consumed in 1.5 seconds, and 1.75 bars of power are stolen over the same time)

Special Attack 1

Activation of this special attack grants 15 Spider-Bots.
Spider-Man’s nanotech enhanced suit corrupts the opponent’s Amour. This special attack places a 20% Armour Break with each hit for 30 seconds. If the opponent is Immune to Armor Break, gain a Passive Fury bypassing the same Armour Rating as the Armour Break would have.
The last hit of this attack is an EMP web blast from Spider-Man, placing a non-stacking, low-damaging Shock passive on the opponent for 5 seconds and Ensnaring them, reducing ability accuracy by 20% for 30 seconds. This EMP web also drains 0.35 bars of power from the opponent and Stuns them for 1.8 seconds, but the potency is reduced by 50% if this special attack is activated consecutively.

Special Attack 2

If at 50 Nano Charges when this attack activates, consume power till only one bar of power is left. That is, activation of this attack leaves Spider-Man with 1 bar of power.
If the Shock Passive is active when this special attack is activated, pause it for the duration of the special attack, and increase the damage over time dealt by +300%.

Special Attack 3

For every Spider-Bot active on Spider-Man, gain a Fury Passive increasing attack rating by +0.35% per Bot for 45 seconds. While this Fury Passive is active, all Special Attacks are Unblockable.

Signature Ability

Spider-Bots are automatically generated at one every <> seconds.
Auto-Block triggers parry and bypasses Unblockable attacks from Mutants, and reduces Block Penetration by 5000.
Special 1 places a <60-100>% Enervate on the opponent on activation.
While at <30-20> Spider-Bots or higher, the opponent cannot Evade, and Spider-Man can parry non-contact hits.

Rotation:
1) Build to under 2 bars of power by basic combos.
2) Launch SP1
3) Charge heavy and cancel into sp2
4) For longer fights, sp3 into sp1 into sp2

Once again, I shall repeat, ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DEROGATORY REMARKS. THIS IS THE USE OF MY BRAIN AND MY BRAIN ONLY. EVERY IDEA IS UNIQUE.
PS. The only reason I post in General "Discussion" is so that the entire community can actually "discuss" these matters.

I think the main thing would be that you probably need to make his power burn stop working if the opponent is at 3 bars cause otherwise it's a relatively broken kit. Otherwise it's an interesting damage loop, relatively damage focused without much utility on offense but seems fun

Im a huge fan of this, one thing I'd add is a way for him to counter cosmics because of how the class wheel has been lately, one example is how arcade stops autoblock counters. Failing true abilities would be really cool and maybe a way to stop pierce from being gained by the opponent. Overall I'd love to see him in game and its about time he comes too since he was teased 5-6 years ago.

That was my main focus, actually. With the way AI is nowadays, they'll hold up power and launch sp3 faster than a Thronebreaker quitting against a whale valiant in BGs. So i figured, the best way for this to be bypassed is that 0.025 bar of power by stolen. It's not that much, but enough to avoid sp3 unless you strike into block or the opponent has some kinda passive power gain or mystic dispersion (for mystics).

i hope the design would be comic accurate( red and gold) rather than the movie one and also his special attacks must use the doctor octopus arms thing

It doesn't matter how little power is stolen, if you can power drain on every attack all the time it's a broken kit.

But arcade is still countered by undermine, a purely cosmic ability

    Got it. Thanks.
