Is it worth investing in him?

First : I'm free to play.
Now, My question is if it is worth it to invest in a 7 star Iron Man Infinity War.
I have Omega Sentinel, Warlock and Rocket Raccon apart from him and all of them are unduped.
I'm not going to invest in Racoon. As for Omega Sentinel and Warlock, both are going to R3.
But my concern is with this 10 year free champions giveaway. We will get a G99 who will also go to R3. But will a duped IMIW deserve to go to R3 or even R2 at the moment?

    With cgr I normally get him to 3 armours before I can get the armour breaks on him, so cgr is a toss up.

    He’s a great defender, everyone has counters. Serpent is a great defender but if they have Chavez then he’s not a problem.

    If you like him, he’s worth ranking up.

    Took my duped imiw to r2, if the opponent does not have a good cosmic nuke then there's a high probability that I won the round if I don't mess-up attack.

    He's great and underrated but needs dupe and pretty bad on attack so that's something you have to consider.

    Champs are only worth according to your needs in the game.
    How many r3s you own, what classes they are, what you want in terms of modes. BG aw questing or just fun. What tier BG you play, are you a uru demon or a celestial grinder.
    Its all relative.

    The only thing I will say is I know a lot LOT of players who have him at r3.

    7* stats and stat focus help make up for mid damage, AND he’s hella good at power control in his way, if you’re taking him questing.
    but old tech or no, he’s always been beefy. as a 7* on defense, he still catches people up (and they may not be packing Teddy Or Space Ghost at the time). and even low sig, his awakened ability just digs his heels in so he just WON’T go down without making it their problem as well.
