Deathless Thanos Awakening Mechanism

Has there been confirmation that Thanos will be granted a “free” path to awakening like the other deathless champs? More than a few people will have acquired cosmic gems making the decision to hold versus use a consequential one. It would be nice to have a heads up like we did with maestro

    For all the hoops we’ve had to jump through to get the Deathless champions, I think it would be cool if the Thanos we acquire was already awakened

    You can awaken him in necro but still no word on actually getting him. By the looks of it getting thanos will be the hardest content ever release!!!!

    Isn't the last carina challenge (using all DL champs to complete necro) getting him for the first time? That's the only one left for me but I don't see the dupe.

    That carina challenge IS the dupe, they’ll release some quest next month to unlock thanos the first time
