I was feeling godly so I mastered all mutants. Now, after a 10 year break I'm back

(k the title is ridiculous just building off of my last title )
So a few days ago I finished Cul's Worthy and god challenge in 10 revives. Odin (r2 he absolutely carried), Heimdall (synergy), Hulk (wiccan killer), Abs (solod airwalker and did well on aarkus), and r4a serpent who did decent all around. Got a 7* serpent for the first time as a reward. YAY

And just now I did the mutant challenge. Quick Breakdown. Team: Apoc, Storm, Cable, Sinister, Onslaught
I though horseman storm would cook, she did not. It's definately bc of my skills and not bc shes bad. I barely used her.

Sauron: Really annoying fight used 1 revive with onslaught and then finished him off with sinister

Hm: I tried using storm and got him down to 75%. But then onslaught took care of the rest

Chavez: Pain. It's a hard fight esp bc all my clearers have a heavy intensive playstyle. However onsluahgt can do very well. If you time it correctly, you can cancel your heavy late so that the defender has tome to block the special attack after the extended pause is achieved. So I would get my degens up and then bait sp1 counter with heavy cancel into sp1 late so it doesnt count as a knockdown. Confusing, but if you do it it makes sense.

The next 3 fights I am very proud of.
Air-walker: Solo with onslaught. Parry last hit of sp1 and heavy counter. That's it

Cap Britain: Idk why but for some reason I was super aware of the reverse controls and did well with them. Again Solo

Wiccan. If you parry then dex it will apply incenrate rampin onslaughts neroushocks. Another solo.

Phsycho-man: After getting 3 solos in a row i was feeling pretty good. This physcho man undid that. Its a hard fight in general and class disadvantage did not help. I used team revives and onsalught did most of the work.

Started with 24 revives - ended with 13. Not bad. Plus one team revive. (got a gwen dupe, eh not to good not too bad)

Now for the 10 year challenge. I want to do Titania through Apoc bc I have an awakened wong and he does really well on the node. But I have an r3 vox so Maybe I should go gaurdian path. I'm not sure. Anyway, heres my team so far,

Wong (r1 sig 20) I will prob r2 with the sector gem. Imma wait a bit before pulling the trigger.
Vox (r3 sig 135) Hes for OS Phsyco man Cap sam and potentially gaurdian if I take that path.
Wiccan (will get him from calendar) He synergizes with wong well and hell be useful for nova and reverse immune for gm
Here's where Im not sure what to do. I don't want to do another rank. So I don't wanna r2 Cheeilth. But I feel like I need a skill. Would r2 black cat be a good substitution for cheeilth for this challenge? Pls answer if you know.
And for the 5th spot I really have no Idea. I have an r6 photon and an r1 gamora. But Im thinking abt just bringin a synergy. Idk. Im really just asking abt the last two spots.

Happy reading.

Out of curiosity what issue were you having with horseman storm?

Was the AI turtling up/being passive and not letting you parry to get some heavies in to refresh her shocks and prowess?

Did anyone else have a similar issue with storm? I plan to horseman her so if this is just a case of skill issue then id like to know

She was good but hard to manage. Onslaught just does it better and is less squishy. And he was a rank above.

I think it depends what fight. Useless for Sauron cos he’s always unblockable and you can’t get enough heavies off for shock refresh

It would be for every fight except psycho man, chavez, sauron and wiccan.

Sinister would do Sauron and Chavez
    Onslaught for Wiccan
Not sure whos best for psychoman amongst sinister, onslaught, and storm

Before her update she was able to do the roundhouse 4hit kicks. Doing this with apocalypse synergy making her a horseman would refresh her shock debuff. With her update she no longer does it and only do 2 “air-storm” hits which reduced her shock damage overall.

She still refreshes the shocks. Look at some videos

She still does, but doesn’t apply shocks to the existing shock as often as she used to and it isn’t hard to see why kabam changed her heavy attack animation as the synergy was powerful enough. 4kick of roundhouse style gave more applying shock debuff than her current heavy attack animation which reduced the shock damage overall.

...Cap Britain: Idk why but for some reason I was super aware of the reverse controls and did well with them... Again Solo

    "Super Aware"?

Mad skills, bro, and congrats: but with your team, dealing with Reverse Controls was completely unnecessary 😉
    - Sinister is immune to them
    - Apocalypse prevents it triggering because he prevents Cap's purify ability*

Thanks for the write-up, OP. You're definitely more skilled than me - think I used about 21-22 revives on this quest. But it's definitely do-able even with a fairly modest roster (5/65Asc and 7r2 champions) and modest skills.

*If anyone is looking for an explanation: Apoc's Purify AAR will also work against opponents who use Purify offensively, like Cap and Dust.
So in this fight, Cap gets no Prowess, no reverse controls, and you get free Willpower healing the entire fight.

Apoc was also great for me, for Psycho-man, as (1) with a little ramp-up he completely shuts down the Evasion from the Trap node, and (2) he can stun through block to land Heavy attacks, which means you can fairly easily follow Psycho's orders, and avoid regular burst damage.

My dumb*ss went in thinking bc onslaught is Psychic Shielding he would be reverse control immune. I found out that's not true by eating a cap britain sp1 to the face. After, I ajusted and it turned out it went fine. I'm really not a super skilled player, I just played really well in that fight specifically. If I had known he wasn't immune I would've fs brought in sinister.
