I also waited before claiming the anniversary selectors to get double the shards so big titan crystal opening for me soon

Congratulations, that's awesome! I'm on 8.3.3 myself, made the push to Paragon for the 10x10 event, but running out of steam (and revives, lol).
What would you (or anyone) say is the #1 best reward difference between P & V?

Well initially, I waited on those arena selectors giving me double the shards for 7*s and Titans.

So that been the biggest boost so far, but it also doesn’t hurt to have valiant before the 25th

I finished 8.3.6 and have rank up gems from the cyber bundles but haven't decided on who to r3 yet and am short on iso. When do I need to push to get the rank ups done to have Valiant by in order not to miss out on anything big? I know I may miss the anniversary selector Valiant rewards if I don't get it done in the next few days but people in my alliance are suggesting I wait on rank up decisions in case I pull new champs during the banquet.

Shuri's pretty great, but I guess you have her as a duped 6 too.
Is there someone specific you're trying to pull from the crystal?

No, no one specific, I'm not even sure who is in the new crystal. I thought I heard the current titan was only fair so I was waiting for the next one since it's so close.
