Banquet rewards let down?

Ever think the only reason they haven't released the banquet details yet is because everyone just going to complain regardless? So the longer they wait the less they got to listen to it.

No. He's a volunteer forum guardian. Has zero do to with being a kabam employee or staff. They get paid. He does not. Get your facts straight if your gonna talk smack.

What is the big deal here? He only said people will complain regardless which is true, they could offer 10 SBC for 2 dollars and someone will always pop in and ask why not 1...

Even for free, if a volunteers doesn't agree with company policy, he leaves or gets fired. Or whatever the word is for fired for free volunteers.

They would have complained regardless, because people expect too much for little in this game. They can get a 7* crystal and they will ask why not a Titan, even if the Titan they pull is trash.
This event is pure gambling with the simple consolation prize in Milestones.
I personally find it hilarious because I saw people making banquet alliances for weeks asking with minimum requirements of 5k, 7k, 10k...
Just wait on the flood of F2P tears soon when they come out saying "I spent all my units on CM this is so unfair 😭😭"

True, that s why I always choose CW deals over banquet, even in the money spending ones. I got 3 r3s with 15k units from CW, even with great rng in my favor, I won t get half of that in banquet.

Someone made a comparison in one of this threads, not sure which one; but seems like 15k in banquet gets you more than CM.

Check out this post that shows all the rewards from the milestones and how much units are needed. The rewards are better than most summoners think it is.

Volunteers can't be fired. But more importantly, I was made a forum guardian specifically *because* of my contributions to the forums. I'm doing now exactly what I was doing before I was made a forum guardian.

Also, I don't have a default agree/disagree with the company stance. I have a agree with myself stance. My perspectives go back about nine years, way past the migration to these forums in fact, and long before my participation with either the forum guardian program or the CCP program.

Long before having any significant contact with Kabam, my position on game rewards was: be careful what you wish for. I specifically warned that constantly begging for five star shards (that's how far back this goes) would have major consequences for game balance and the game economy. And sure enough, that large acceleration in 5* shards caused a) the original featured 5* crystal to be removed from the game due to excessive stockpiling and b) accelerated the arrival of 6* champs by a substantial amount. Because that would have been obvious to anyone who either had any kind of game design experience, or just a lot of experience playing progressional games like MMOs for long enough to have seen the progression ladder cycles that naturally happen.

Most of my contributions to the game have not been to simply agree with whatever the devs say, in fact most of my contributions have involved making suggestions to improve the game for the betterment of the players. I argued for shifting the game away from simple numbers stacking to scale difficulty post Act 6. I lobbied for the devs to make alliance war revives completely free. I laid out a roadmap for improving the grind of Batttlegrounds. And when the players make reasonable and well thought out arguments for what might need improvements, I always either lend my voice to those or try to pass them onto the devs.

But when players are unreasonable or illogical or both, I'm not on the side of the devs when I argue against that. I'm on my side, and my side hates that stuff as being unproductive in general and even counterproductive at times. When I say all the complaints about the banquet rewards are ludicrous, I'm not siding with the devs. I'm saying qualitatively no reasonable person could possibly argue that the stuff that was announced was not reasonable as banquet rewards, and until the actual drop odds are released no one could argue on any quantitative basis that the value of the crystals was sub par, by *any* definition of sub par. So those arguments have no possible rational basis, so the reasonable conclusion is they are being propagated by unreasonable people who would complain about anything, who were just waiting for the devs to say anything about the rewards so they could dump on them, no matter what they were.

I could say all of that and more, or I could just make fun of them and call it a day. Or, as is often the case with me, I could do both.

I complain about stuff just as much as anyone else. The big difference between when I complain about stuff and when you complain about stuff is when I complain about stuff I do not look like a lunatic with a serious head injury, and that means very occasionally the devs listen and actually change something. Now, is that worth occasionally being called a shill? Absolutely. What rational person would think otherwise?

As a matter of fact, one of the rules of the forum guardian program is: you are not allowed to claim to be or misrepresent yourself to be a representative of Kabam. And whenever that might be ambiguous, I always make sure to state that clearly. I am not a representative of Kabam. Nothing I say should be construed as being the official position of Kabam, except when I am clearly repeating official statements already in public.

Anyone who has been reading my posts for any length of time will note that's something I am often stating for the record.

If you feel not high rewards this time, Keep your units and wait next events. Dont rush. I could see a guy got 40k units, spending all 5,6 k units for each 7 star crystal and then Cyber came with very big value. feel sorry for that guy

i mean for the amount of hype crashed put on in the stream and making it into a glorious reveal yeah absolutely a let down. If it wasnt for all that hype itd be fine not great but not horrible.
Thats without mentioning the tokens only counting for 100 points and not 400 like we thought which they told us basically today. P sure thats the definition of a scam waiting for everyone to buy the tokens first then saying oh btw its 1/4th of the points

That's quite untrue. First, Guardians aren't required to agree with what Kabam says. Their sole existence is to help moderate the forums. DNA does not make announcements nor posts on Kabams half. He makes them to benefit the community.

Guardians have access to the dev discord and CCP beta but they are not required to post things either.

Guardians are bound by the ToS just like all of us are.

Pikolu speaks out regularly and DNA doesn't always agree with every decision.

We get it though. You're one of the ones who think that anyone who agrees with Kabam are employees or shills etc.. you constantly say it.

But you're wrong to say because he's a guardian, he's agreeing.

So when are they wrong? Because it's everytime. Every year rewards aren't good enough. They even added the realm rewards on top of everything and those are truly extra and didn't take from the "rewards budget". So if we have all these extra rewards and a chance to obtain or dupe a brand new 7* champion, when is the community wrong for complaining?

There is no other conclusion to make. The realm rewards are extra. They weren't calculated from the months rewards budget. So again, no, they shouldn't make their own conclusions.

Because there s the facts, and there s the word of kabam before the facts' reveal. It s always better to make the calculations yourself when you have the full info, than just believe what the company tells you. Not just in this game, everywhere. Critical thinking.
